the only power rangers show that i liked was MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS... nothing else... every other credits, i would like to give to SUPER SENTAIS, KAMEN RIDERS, ULTRAMAN and other tokusatsu from JAPAN... USA always ruins the japanese version of super sentais. they make it more childish... ^^,
i guess it wasnt my fault that i knew power rangers was japanese based when i was a child. i got into it when i was 11 but i was only a few years too late when i found out about the show. Back then we had no internet in the early 90s.
@asherleez they didnt ruin it. its two completely different things now. Super Sentai never got out of japan for a long time so it makes sense it didnt catch on like Power Rangers did

Marvel (american comic company) and Toei (japanese movie company) were free to use each others characters in the 1970s. Marvel took Toei's giant robots to make Shogun Warriors. Toei took Marvel's Spiderman and Captain America to make Japanese Spiderman and Battle Fever (3rd Super Sentai).
Toei also made Digimon and Golion (original version of Voltron). and anime adaptations of Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh and One Piece.

why are people complying at all. America doesn't steal them from japan or anything if that were true all anime shown in America would be taken off American broadcasting. Power Rangers wouldn't have made it pass the first episode, and our childhood would have been shity and everything. So why not just watch power rangers/super sentai and anything else Japanese based and not watch the American version hell watch both versions and stuff just be happy that you have something decent to watch.

Personally, I dont like America. Even though I live here, but I am japanese. And it makes me sick when America steals Japanese things like Power Rangers, Pokemon, Doremi, and anything practically anime or nintendo based. Mainly all animations are made or drawn by asians is what I have seen and heard. America just takes things from Japan, makes it into American characters and all, then expects for other people to accept that. I dont like it and they don't give props to asia for the ideas.

@SuperCrazyGril It's a little weird that you're going to say you dislike everything about an entire country based on the fact that they switch up cartoons. Plus, plenty of countries take cartoons from others, dub them and change the names... including the Japan that you seem to have set on a pedestal.

@SuperCrazyGril dude i agree with you in some parts. not defending america and all cuz i care less of this corrupted country. but as for the shows like power rangers, it had to be adopted for the western audience. just like if it was used any where else each country has its on style they want to put into it for their younger audiences. and for wat i researched, its all about franchising. whatever money america was making off of japanese shows, japan was getting a pice of it. its a win win thing

@SuperCrazyGril Surely it's just giving kids all over the world a good show to watch. Many people would've had a shit childhood if it wasn't for shows like power rangers and pokemon, I know I would have. If people care so much they want to know the origins of a show they can just wiki it and see for themselves it's from Japan or where ever. When I was younger I definitely wouldn't have wanted to watch a subtitled Japanese version, but that doesn't mean I should be left out of a good show...

@SuperCrazyGril You're right about something, however, America was fooled by one man. Haim Saban remade the Japanese show, because he wanted to introduce Zyuranger as his own program, taking advantage of this and other similar shows, which were virtually unknown in the U.S.

super sentai came out in 1975. the 1st power rangers (1993) was a remake (recycling) of the 16th super sentai (1992).
