It essentially forced banks to make mortgages for people who would NOT have gotten them otherwise. The program was NOT moving along fast enough for the DEMOCRATS, so they put some rather serious teeth into additional legislative pressure in the 90's.

When Obama was asked about the funding, he replied, " I didn't even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money." Beck got rude because Acorn is rude, however still, I think Beck should not had been sarcastic.
