  • Jeeez..... i was there and remember this like it was yesterday, was only 16 at the time lol

  • a Stéphanie....

  • I noticed Brian's shirt says "Hideaway Pizza." Hideaway Pizza is a very popular chain here in Oklahoma established in Stillwater in 1957 near the campus of OK State University, but I can't imagine that its the same Hideaway Pizza that's on his shirt. Anybody know?

  • rockin all his life, that's life.

  • If anyone happens to know the addresses of the three idiots who disliked this, please post them here. I got a team that'll follow up. Thank you.

  • @beautifulsarah100 well done. return to base.

  • I think I was there... the latter part of the 70's -early 80's are all kind of blurry now...

But these guys KNEW how to rock! The big band stuff is ok... but I liked the trio better.

  • わか〜

  • brian setzer tenia 22 años en este video! por eso era tan locoooo

  • LOVE the scream at 01:20 ..:::Goosebumps!:::..

  • Esto no es rock and roll es rockabilly como me acuerdo de los buenos años 80 la mejor musica hasta hoy en día.

  • @eloyz2009 No.. the best time of rock was in the 50's-70's

that was when the rock revolution started.=]

  • yeah !

  • There's a man dancing who looks like Joe Strummer <3

  • ROCK AND ROLL! that's all you can say!

Not this crap you see today! this is REAL ROCK!!!

Love Brian Setzer, should have been around when Elvis was rocking like this!!

Wish more bands would go back to this kind of music!!

LOVE IT,, REAL ROCK AND ROLL!!

  • I saw them in Grimsby just a few weeks before they released Runaway Boys and they are still my favourite Rockabilly band today. They paved the way for bands like the Polecats and influenced loads of others. Big respect to ya guys. The music still sounds amazing for a 3 piece trio.

  • Got to see Slim Jim in Montreal last week, it was one of the most amazing things I've seen in a long ass time. You rocked that town SJP!

  • 3 dislikes?? holy shit, its nearly rock down my face!!

  • el mejor tema sin duda!

    puro rock&roll

  • holy smokes!

  • I do believe that bloke is wearing eye shadow! Nice guitaring though.

  • Love this song...Cool Daddy!!

  • When I was a kid my buddies were listening to AC DC and I was locked in to the Stray Cats. Too cool.

  • 素晴らしくてあなたにギターの迷える猫が支配する岩〔ロック〕を演奏すること

  • raw and awesome!

  • @Japhrodisiac awesome and raw!

  • way before my time but i still love these guys, brian setzer= Guitar god

  • Am I the only one that thinks they paid those people in front to dance? Anyway, great song. Brian Setzer is a massively underrated guitarists, he does some crazy stuff.

  • im 14, and proud to say that todays music sucks ( with some excepitons)

  • @50sfan14 why are you proud? and most of todays music doesn't suck, but the stuff you hear in medias that aren't straight music (television, video games, movies, commercials, radio) usually aren't the best representation of good music. in my opinion, the bands that are REALLY good bands are better than the bands that people thought were REALLY good in the last century. the good bands today realize that in order to not be redundant, they need to step it up, and they have

  • @ShackNastyVideos I am just tired of all the justin beibers the mayday parades and all of the other gay emo bands that make up todays music. Im used to listening to straight up good rock and roll not todays gay shit, like i said, with some exceptions

  • @50sfan14 So COOOOL that you dig the CATS!! Rock with a smile!

  • @billc756 lol hell ya, thanks man

  • aguante Stray catssssssssssss

  • now thats a drum set..neil pert should watch this video

  • wow he looks like hes 12....nice blonde fenders

  • OMG...this sucked! I make a better sound dropping a deuce in morning after my mother-in-laws' burrito supreme!

  • @LatinoKansasBoy wow, what an unintelligent piece of shit you are

  • @LatinoKansasBoy Get lost, you tone-deaf moron.

  • @LatinoKansasBoy your mother-in-law works at Taco Bell? No wonder you've got the runs! Now run along and spew your useless poop somewhere else. And ease up on the taco sauce, mmm-k?

  • absolutely

  • I rocked to this album with my kids when they were toddlers. Stray Cats— They had an edge that is hard to match. Love 'em to death!

  • rock this town (8)!

  • Music is generational. Every generation thinks there music was the best. It was the best for them at that time, that applies to every generation. You can't really compare one generations music to another. If you try, you end up sounding like a moron, and there are alot of them on youtube.

  • Well I luv the music of my generation, but I also luv the music my parents showed me of their generation. And i'm pretty sure if I ever have kids I will luv their music as well! If the music is good enough, it's timeless !!

  • @Tickbryan off course you can compare music generations to each other for example: compared to this todays musig SUCKS an anyone that listen to it doesn't know what music is.

  • nirvana sellouts sons of MTV shit that is the type of bands that kill rock'n'roll, kurt kill himself and kill good rock he was a product of TV, not 20+ years of hard work

  • Bullshit !! He was the voice of my generation and he killed himself because tv MADE him a product !!

  • well your generation voice is dead but MTV still making money w/your generation do something about it!!

  • @pedrokahuku we are. Pay attention and please, stay away from that rap shit that some idiots call music. Those morons can't even sing their way out of a paper bag.

  • @JackHauss

the thought of Nirvana perfecting anything other than bland, sloppy, boring music makes me laugh. The Stray Cats on the other hand know how to be entertaining.

  • Stray Cats rule!

Just to letcha know, the Cats played Long Island clubs for years before landing in the UK.(I Saw them as the 'TomCats' in 79

As for that crack about white people not being able to dance, that's not true..Brian's doin fine while singing and playing the git-box., ELvis could dance... it seems white people are the only artist's left who can play instruments.. accept for Alesha Keys - but her music sucks, so all those piano lesson her mammie got her went to waste.

  • It was weird to see these guys become popular in the US after they'd been a favorite of strict rockabilly revivalists, especially in the UK, for a couple of years. Before they got big in the US, you'd only see pictures of them at British rockabilly fests where everyone seriously dressed like they stepped right out of the 50s, getting every last detail right. The closest thing to that kind of purist look today would be Dita Von Teese, who can make herself look just like 1950s Betty Page.

  • DAMN HES YOUNG!!!!!

  • As Bogie said: The world is on whiskey behind.

This is true for good rocknroll also. Better as fighting each other every day.

  • Stray Cats rule forever!!

  • @Roniel81 Vote for That!

  • rockabilly Night tonite; Nov 10th 2009

  • great, Thanks!

there is a kid there !:):)

  • that band has the best stand up drummer ever

  • Aw i want his hair lol love the way how they dance back then while funny.. class song

  • This performance on TV's show "Fridays" introduced Stray Cats to America, as they had to go to England to make it big first. ( Their albums in some US record stores were imports ) They did not have an American record deal yet, that is, until this aired one Friday night-

  • ... True, I bought the two UK imports before the US album came out. Still have them, too. ;)

  • Parsa9- Same here, and what a thrill it was for us to have Brian join our Rockabilly band one night on stage where we backed him up doing Rock This Town.

  • Or should you say the guy from Green Day looks like him......

  • at the :19 mark he looks like the leader singer from Greenday.... weird......

    This vid rocks!

  • to *klayhil* he is Brian Setzer

  • The first thing I noticed was how skinny Brian looked back then. The second thing I noticed was that he was already more than brilliant. Damn, I wish I could play like that, he was hardly older than I am now.

  • Learn your guitar scales and you can play like him. He improvised solos at times using scales, Not sure if he always did but the improvised solos that I've heard sounded good.

  • Glad to help. Brian sure influenced me, I didn't really think scales would be useful in improvised solos (What was I thinking?) But now that I know a few scale positions they're helping me out a lot. :)

  • @101Volts I just bought a guitar. I'll learn my scales for sure!

  • I'm putting this in my favorites!

  • hahah what dose religion have to do with the stray cats??????

u people(who talkin about religion) are doucheBags

  • I saw the band on tv around same time...American Bandstand. I bought album next day. They blew me away. Something new and fresh. All my friends hated them-- preferring Nugent,Rush,Aeromsith, Van Halen,,,etc, But, I just really got into this music --more what my parents grew up on. Slim Jim just playing a snare, bass and cymbal...when most drummers were using Double bass 12 piece drum sets!!

  • You mean someone said something immature on the internet?

    wow!

Join jeffas in the douchebag category.

    brian setzer still rocks though.

maybe he should rock for jesus and then you'll be happy?

  • Mr. Jeffas, you sir, are a douchebag.

most of us grow out of having invisible friends that follow us everywhere. you apparently have gone the other way.

    bronze age FTW!

    brian setzer rocks.

  • Bloozman LOL!!! Classic Even god loves the stray cats! nice one

  • Bloozman - Nice, mature response to somebody who is being honest. Thanks for your response with a hackneyed answer you read on an atheist web site. While I don't agree with MrJeffas personally (he DID say to HIM it became idolatry) I hate to say that you have a ways to go in the growing up department yourself.

  • Very well put.

  • hahah religious people are funny

  • Comment removed

  • WOW!!

  • setzer...el amo

  • setzer

  • Oh... sorry, meow~

  • Oh, yes.

If I'll ever reborn, I'd like to be a string on Mr. Setzer's guitar.

Thanking for your kind attention, Lord, regarding this matter.

  • ブライアン・セッツァーが若い!

  • Yeah, Setzer's young. Happened to most of us at some point.

  • They tore it up.

  • Setzer's best look ever - and the Cats in their prime. This is a great video - thank Bill Gates for yOU TUBE - LOL

    Mikey xx

  • Saw them live last night. They were ace

  • rockabilly all the way nigga!!!

  • excellent BRIAN SETZER THE KING OF ROCKABILLY rock on

  • ...kai kanoun ti poli anysixi

    kkxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • When you really think about it . . . Rockabilly is the ORIGINAL Punk Rock.

  • I can not believe that they were so young and we were so young just listening to their remake sounds of the sixties. I loveit. Wish I was still that young and invincible. AWESOME!!! sAm:)

  • jmatt:

it was more 50s reved up to appeal to the kids of the eighties. not 60s music. lee rocker once said "we arent a tribute to the 50s music but a continuation."

  • Gee, do you think that was lip-synced? Oh the good ol dayz, check Setzer's performance at Woodstock 99 here on youtube, if only there were more than 5 stars!!!

  • rockabilly!! the greatest music style ever!

  • Big guitar, small guy - Stray Cats!

Oh my, I was young when....

  • i would have been up and dancing, i cant dance but who cares

    stray cats forever!!!!!!

  • Wow, talk about kicking it! How in the heck did the audience all stay in their seats through this performance? I wouldn't have been able to just sit there.

  • wow i was 13 i love setzer hes a star

  • OK, that gets a favorite and five stars automatically. Really, just wow. They are such a completely phenomenal act. Bravo.

  • Is that a Fender Supersonic? It looks like one but i thought that they were a fairly new amp from Fender.

  • No, it's a Blonde Fender Bassman. I think Setzer's is a '63.

  • perfect!

  • fun music where did it go

  • god damn i love that hollow body guitar can anyone tell what kind?????

  • gretsch

  • Nashville 6120

  • now the brian setzer sig

  • his original was a '59 and he got it broken for $100 and put it together.

  • stray cats forever

  • I adore Brian's guitars. Like his playing skills are amazing, don't get me wrong, and I love the Stray Cats. I am simply mentioning I like the guitars he plays.

  • awesome fucking hair

  • It's amazing that the energy here can't be found in any other band. THAT'S why i love the STray Cats. I also think it's great that Brian is being related to Green day et al. But, they're just young pretenders at the side of the Cats. Viva La Banana.

    Mikey xxx

  • man that was awesome!

  • The Stray Cats' drummer was soooo under-rated! It is very hard to play the drums standing up! Thats why most drummers sit down.

I put him up there with the likes of Keith Moon, John Bonham and Buddy Rich.

  • Blasphemy!! Dont mix them with him

  • Slim Jim is special indeed, but no matter how much i love the cats, one of my favorite bands, he is NOWHERE Near Bonham or Moon!

He plays like 2 different things in all songs, even i can do those things, it's not hard at all.

But you -can't- beat Bonhams groove.

Or Bill Ward for that matter!

  • He looks like Billie Joe Armstrong here.

  • Thats what BJ would like

  • whooooow maddy091 im 14 and listening exclusively to music like brian stezer, chet atkins, allen holdsworth, michael sagmeister

    nothin special^^

  • I think this is the best live performance for the song..

Rock it, boys.. Rock it inside out!

  • nasty! that brian setzer CAN play.

  • lol, my favourite band and i'm sixteen.

  • My favorite band when I was 10!!! I still love these guys!!!, now i'm 36....lol
