It became the Wii. This was promoted a year or so before the Wii was announced as the official name. The Nintendo revolution concept images showed pretty much the Wii console in a nice shiny black case.

I've thought of the similarity, with these images. But the Wiimote you see in the video is connected by a larger-than-normal nunchuk male end. This is because the Wii was still in development and the wiimotes were still prototypes. Further evidence of the unfinished-ness is the lack of sound hole in the center of the wiimotes in this video, and the names of "start/select" and "a/b" in the video were later replaced by "+/-" and "1/2". The Wii Motion Plus has a nunchuk hole, as well.
