Instead of buying this italian/british helicopter , i wish turkey would have made one new from scratch.

@Ibringthetruth1 Actually its kinda timing issue, from scracth would take time we need assault helicopters, asap so know-how, and producing according to our own needs is almost a perfect option for us.

I see. I hope this builds a foundation for our own helicopters instead of relying on foreign manufactured weapons.

I still don't see whats difficult about building these helicopters.  The armor - boron alloy might be a slight issue but not that much.

This attack helicopter is definetly better than AH-1.

But i am not sure if its better than AH-64.

@aerialdefence i think AH-64 has a longer range and can climb higher also has a stronger armor the only thing this plane has over the AH-64 is maneuverability and maintenance costs. but I am not sure. this plane is suitable for Turkish Army in mountainous terrain such as southeast Turkey

also I have never heard of a scenario where attack helicopters dogfight they mainly give air support to the troops on the ground.
