One year ago, President Obama was plopped down into the middle of a minefield, with all the mines having been laid by the Bush Boys. He may not be choosing exactly the path out of the field that you or I may want, but he's not stupid. Think of where we'd be right now if John McCain were president or even worse dead, and we had President Palin. But it's not a matter of the lesser of two evils. I want him to succeed, too, but he's not & never claimed to be a Messiah. Give him benefit of the doubt.
I'd have to say that I agree totally with Glenn on the war speech stuff, because at least after I compare Obama's speech with what he's been ACTUALLY doing in Afghanistan, I'm left with the inescapable conclusion that he's full of it.
I like Glenn a lot. I'd like to hear him on some more interesting topics.
The only thing I find interesting about Obama's speech is that anyone gives a damn. He just repeated his previous rhetoric. I'm sick of these stupid speeches - Americans need to pay more attention to what people are doing and less to what they are saying.
Jeremy Scahill is the reporter who broke the Blackwater story. He talks alot of privatization of the military. He mentioned that what Obama is saying and doing are two different things. It's time to stop being kool aid drinkers and focus on his actions, not words.
The problem is the 60 number ,everybody thought 60 was it ..When in fact they have only 56 or so real dems ..the rest they should kick out or at least pull their chairmanships
what we need is a leader that is opposed to all wars and not just the dumb ones. history shows that all of them are, in fact, dumb.

yeah... it's kind of weird that the nobel committee put Obama in the position in the first place, right?

Or at least listen to what they're saying instead of how they're saying it ;)

True. "Oh, Obama lies to us so eloquently!"

It's funny you say that, cause Jeremy Scahill said the exact same thing.

Who? And which thing did he say?
