I agree. This is not the European or Australian model in health care. In the Australian system, the private hospital system is subsidized, but private insurance is not subsidized. People choose whether to pay the Medicare levy, if they are over the tax threshold. This levy is progressive over the size of income. Why don't they cut the middle man? Its just funding the corporations again.
