I call the South Shore "My Baby". I filmed and co-produced "The South Shore of the 1970's' that's still available on E-Bay. I fully agree that the scenery here is breathtaking and that's why I moved here in '79. I am from Midlothain, IL and rode the SSL many many times as a rail fan. I would get on the dead head car at Hegewisch at 09:13 HRS EB and never had my ticket punched. The crew knew me very well & some are in my DVD. I loved the SSL and still do. I have a 1/8 scale steeple cab.
You know, I really love your vids. The trains are great, but the scenery you get is breathtaking. I'm an Indiana boy and just am not used to the beautiful mountains! I subscribe to you because you come here and ride the South Shore!
