  • He is talking about his mom...sweet.

  • I just saw "Tootsie" last night and now it all makes sense.

  • The ENTIRE perspective of an actor, or, especially, a human being is... to NOT be judgmental... why the surprise?

  • I've been looking for this! I remember when this program came out,and always had this in the back of my mind.I had never seen this moive, but this made me want to so bad.And it is an incredible performance, because I looked at it as he was talking about it here, like I had remembered all those years ago.

  • @TheLovelylove Same here!! I saw it on a Top 100 film programme or something and i always remembered it,so i'm glad to have found it,i just think he is wonderful for saying this because it is so true! Bless his heart.

  • Yes, it surprised me as well. I did not expect it at all. He gave me a new perspective of the movie, while more or less every other movie was simply a reminder of what I already knew about the movie.

But yeah, Hoffman is one of the great actors of cinema. I love actors who manage to inspire me even outside the movie theatre or when the television is off.

  • Most emotional part of the WHOLE program, which is INCREDIBLY sad. It's funny how the only crying man you get talking about a movie is on TOOTSIE. Not Casablanca, not Citizen Kane, not Gone with the Wind, but TOOTSIE. A COMEDY. Dustin is so deep.
