I don't know where the 7'2" claim came from, unless Shaq grew an inch (2.54 cm) in his twenties. Though Shaq is definitely at least 7'2" with shoes on. I have also heard him be described as 7'3" by people a lot. And Yao Ming isnt 7'6"; he's 7'5" so he's got 4 inches on Shaq.
