  • How wide are you making your strips? I have one of those multi cutters I got at Joanns and it does a 1 inch strip.

  • Thank you. I was looking for a different, no-tie way to make these blankets! I would like to see what the finished blanket looks like, with the border. I was thinking about doing it in reverse, so the fringe shows the bottom color on top (not sure if that would work).

  • No, it does NOT fall apart in the wash. In fact the reason I make it this way is because it does not come "undone". Glad that you enjoyed it.

  • Hi. When u wash the blanket it doesn't fall apart ???

  • nice video! I really like the way it looks ! Can you please tell me how wide you make the strips? Are they 3 1/2 long? Thanks!!

  • Can you cut all the holes for the entire blanket first and go back and "knot" them. My Brownie troop will be making these blankets for a community project and I would like to have as much as possible prepared ahead of time. I do like this method. Looks more comfortable than the regular knot. Thanks

  • where is the biginning of the video that shows from start to finish i would love to make some throw blanket for my babies

  • I love the method with the thingy ma jib!!!!

  • it's called a seem ripper

  • @gamerguy581 it is seam not seem :)

  • love the border idea! and i have no idea what that tool is called either! ha! Thanks for the helpful suggestion !!

  • I make the fringe on my blankets 3 1/2 inches.

  • Have a question about the fringe. HOW long is the fringe" Normal is 5" deep, but probably can cut shorter cause of not knotting.

  • I love the look of this method better than any other out there! I do have one question though. If I were to make the slit a little further down on the "ribbons" or tags that have been cut, then make my loops, would this leave a little less pucker over all on the finished blanket? Thanks again for posting this video!!! Respectjully,,, oh and btw, this is my first post to anyone on youtube ever..

  • @pphyllissable I don't believe that it would look nice to cut farther down.

  • This is one of the nicer finishes to a blanket tat I've seen. I'm still going to do a zigzag stitch because I'm making them for my hard playing kids and they will be traveling blankets. Thank you for this video

  • I love this technique. Thanks so much for posting the video!!

  • im lucky to have come acroos this video, cuz i looked around and i cant find another with this method, this edge is so much nicer than a tied edge because the other edge can look childish

  • Is this type of blanket and the way it's made durable in the wash?

  • @CodeViet13

Absolutely! Machine wash and then put it in the dryer.

  • Thank you so much for sharing I have been trying to find out how to do the fleece blanket this way. Thank you again

  • This method of tying the fabric is the best ! Your the best !!! I'm so glad I waited to make my blanket. The traditonal way of tying isn't as nice as your method! Now I can make beautiful blankets for family members......thank you so much!!! if you have any other wonderful ideas we would all love to see them & learn from them.

  • I love you!! This makes a wonderful edge.

  • did you still cut the corners off of these like the other ways show ?

  • @shadowvayne100 yes, as u saw in the begining, she already had a square cut out of the corner. the only difference is the tying part :)

  • I had a hard time getting the seam ripper to go through the fleece. Then when it did it cut too much. I enjoyed your video though. :)
