basically, japan does expiraments on children(orphans), tetsuo who is the guy with the robotic arm, crashses a motocycle into one of said children, somehow the child's power is transefered(copied really) into tetsuo, he get drunk onpower, destroys a lazor satellite, lose his arm, and basically declatres himself king of tokyo, and then because the power couldnt be controlled by tetsuo he grows large combining with everything around and then implodes
