I agree. I believe if Jim tried to do music like this it would be very similar sounding. They also look alot alike (excluding glenn being shorter and wider)
For some reason the beginning reminds me of a specific live version of Cat People by David Bowie I heard once... oddly, Danzig did a cool cover of that song years later :)

Actually, Eerie was the biggest Elvis-fan in the band (and probably one of the biggest fans of all time), he drew Glenn's attention to Elvis back in the Misfits days.

Sounds like there was tape drag on the original recording. You can hear it in his voice. Almost sounds like somebody else singing.
