Does anyone know where I can find that version of Mr. Roboto or was it made only for this commercial? I know that is Dennis Deyoung singing at the end.
@mrroboto5785 Sounds like the regular album version to me, just edited for the time constraints. (Though I don't know what he's dancing to in the silent part, since the part we hear when the second guy opens the door is at the beginning of the song. :)
0:09--NYC, suckers!!! :-) I always guessed this was one of those rare car commercials actually shot out here on the East Coast--NY! (Long Island; Nassau?) Car ads like these (especially back in the 90's) were almost always shot on the left-coast, Cali. Where they belong...
But I do miss those old "Lady Liberty" plates! The current ones are cool, too, but, I grew up here in the city with those white "Lady Liberty" plates. We need to bring those back! (Mind you, I do not drive. Lol!)
Lol, i just remember that in one of the episodes from Arrested Development, Buster (Tony Hale) is doing the Robot dance in the family's staircase and and accidentally gets his hook stuck on the dashboard.

Ha! All the times I've seen this ad, and I'd never noticed before that at the end, the passenger is lipsyncing the backup vocals.
