Hard to tell how good the Ducks really are this year, they haven't played a good defense at all. Stanford is their best win, and Stanford's defense isn't particularly good. The Ducks are probably rooting for Auburn to win, since Auburn's bad defense would work in Oregon's favor.

Yes, this is a very heavy Oregon bias, which is fine with me because I am from Oregon. But it is strange this is the case with most Oregon Football videos on Youtube. It is great for me, but I cannot help but wonder what non-Duck fans think.
Yes, Ohio State controlled the game handily. Oregon finished the game with 12 first downs (every single one shown on this vid) and went 2 for 11 on 3rd down conversions while the Buckeyes possessed the ball for 41 minutes compared to just 18 for the Ducks. Oregon had been averaging 30-something PPG coming in too.
Like I said before too, if not for OSU's STs Oregon would have been held under 10 points tops.
If OSU were to play Ore again, the Bucks would tap that ass.
Oregon was lucky to keep the score as close as they did. Take a look at the yardage stats. The points the Ducks did get could largely be credited to OSU's special teams taking the night off.

OSU surely deserved to win, with the great defense and fantastic "keep away" gameplan. Tressel trusted that Pryor could pick up 3rd and long so most drives he ran sain into the line for a couple and hope Pryor could make a play. However, a few breaks go the duck's way and Oregon could have stolen it. Blount fumble was huge and masoli had a terrible game, but ducks made almost enough plays to win it. Great game and day! Hopefully we can get a Bucks-Ducks round II new years day 2011! GO DUCKS!

Oregon's starting field position was almost always around the 50. OSU had what 3 players suspended for the game? Yes you're right, Ohio State was the best D Oregon faced all year no doubt, and maybe TP should be injured more often because that was the best game of his young career. Yes the Ohio State D-line got pressure on Masoli, but Masoli still played terrible. He still should've made passes to wide open receivers but he didn;t. Ohio State showed he's a one dimensional QB. Good runner, but a below average passer. Look at the fumble into the endzone too, all Masoli's fault.

This loss will sting for a while, no doubt with that. The spread offense would've worked fine, if the passing game got going. The receivers did their jobs. They were open all game long. I was there, but Masoli couldn't get the ball to them. Yes I know Masoli has been charged with 2nd degree burglary, so he won't be around next year. However, Darron Thomas who is better will be starting. All Masoli has over him is experience.

Yes, Ohio State controlled the game handily. Oregon finished the game with 12 first downs (every single one shown on this vid) and went 2 for 11 on 3rd down conversions while the Buckeyes possessed the ball for 41 minutes compared to just 18 for the Ducks. Oregon had been averaging 30-something PPG coming in too.
Like I said before too, if not for OSU's STs Oregon would have been held under 10 points tops.
If OSU were to play Ore again, the Bucks would tap that ass.

Oregon was lucky to keep the score as close as they did. Take a look at the yardage stats. The points the Ducks did get could largely be credited to OSU's special teams taking the night off.

Where are the highlights of Pryor racking up 226 passing yds vs. Oregon's 81? They make it look like Oregon was running all over the Bucks D, but OSU had almost the same yardage (153 vs. 179). Time of Poss. was more than double for the Bucks, but you could hardly tell. OSU controlled this game!

OSU surely deserved to win, with the great defense and fantastic "keep away" gameplan. Tressel trusted that Pryor could pick up 3rd and long so most drives he ran sain into the line for a couple and hope Pryor could make a play. However, a few breaks go the duck's way and Oregon could have stolen it. Blount fumble was huge and masoli had a terrible game, but ducks made almost enough plays to win it. Great game and day! Hopefully we can get a Bucks-Ducks round II new years day 2011! GO DUCKS!

Adding a new formation to the play book is not reworking your offensive philosophy OR constitute as "rebuilding". Your argument is ABSURD! I never said Jim Tressel is the same as Woody Haze. I said they use the same philosophy. They both believe in a strong vertical running game that will open up vertical seams in the backfield if successful and the importance of time of possession.

No JT does not use that at all..He has a wide open offense..Look at the Offense when Smith was QB. Even JT has said he use a form of the same type of offense RR runs....U need to know something about OSU football and football in general before you can talk about it.

@collins1188 Ohio State also went 2-11-1 against Michigan from 1988 to 2000 but look how the tables have turned...and God willing it will agains the SEC. I can't explain all the loses...a few were legit...a few we shouldn't have lost and a few were toss-ups. Just bad luck. But Ohio State isn't the only school that has had problems with the SEC champs lately.

Georgia tech doesnt run the spread they run the triple option...just pointing that out.
And plus ohio state and iowa had over a month to prepare for these teams.

I don't know what helped Ohio State more, Pryor randomly turning into Vince Young on certain plays, or Masoli sucking it up badly. Masoli was horrible. If he played halfway decent, and was able to get the ball to the wide open receivers, Oregon's offense would've been way more productive and would've won. Ohio State got really really lucky, they needed Oregon to beat themselves, and that's what they god. Way to go Masoli, way to screw your team over! DT to start the 2010 season!

This is a really bad take. Did you see how fast the defense was getting to him at the beginning? That threw Masoli off his game so that is credit to OSU's d. Oregon's starting field position was almost always around the 50. OSU had what 3 players suspended for the game? Honestly look at the game OSU beat Oregon it wasn't luck they were the better team and the best defense Oregon had face all year. Why don't I say Oregon was really really lucky TP was playing hurt.

Yes you're right, Ohio State was the best D Oregon faced all year no doubt, and maybe TP should be injured more often because that was the best game of his young career. Yes the Ohio State D-line got pressure on Masoli, but Masoli still played terrible. He still should've made passes to wide open receivers but he didn;t. Ohio State showed he's a one dimensional QB. Good runner, but a below average passer. Look at the fumble into the endzone too, all Masoli's fault.

oregon is lucky they started every possession practically in OSU territory. if Ohio State had any special teams play at all, they'd have blown Oregon out pretty badly.

Aww. Still not taking the loss well? The fact is the spread doesn't work against Big Ten defenses. Another good example would be Georgia Tech being stuffed by Iowa.
Look at Michigan, they've been at the bottom of the Big Ten ever since RichRod's offense was put in. Take the loss like a man and stop whining. The better team won.
By the way, Masoli was just charged with theft so good luck having him as Oregon's QB next year.

This loss will sting for a while, no doubt with that. The spread offense would've worked fine, if the passing game got going. The receivers did their jobs. They were open all game long. I was there, but Masoli couldn't get the ball to them. Yes I know Masoli has been charged with 2nd degree burglary, so he won't be around next year. However, Darron Thomas who is better will be starting. All Masoli has over him is experience.
