The only thing I could see being creepy about "Big Dog" would be some kind of malfunction that causes it to attack either the designated leader, or those who aren't the designated leader. If it can trot and jump over obstacles like in that last scene, it can definitely trample you with it's ~300lbs. of technology. haha

@xSz300 Big Dog uses its own internal sensors to navigate. It knows where to go by following a designated leader who wears a reflective marker. Once Big Dog has sight of the leader it will maintain a predetermined follow distance.

what i found creepy is that when the guy kicked it to check its balance, i felt a bit sorry for the machine- and connected to it! had it been running on wheels as a car- i would feel nothing- but the fact it has "legs" like an animal gives it an emotional connect to me somehow. i feel very creeped out- like its a mutated animal of some sort.

Incredible, but very sinister..and what an awful noise! I can't help thinking about 'LukeTheFook's comment about that thing coming at us in a war. Robotic science is really starting to excell in the combined use of artifcial intelligence along with the ability to create increasingly realistic motor functions.. I dearly hope they never figure out how to give these things emotion, or we'll all be screwed.
