  • I liked both this one and part II... both are great games. I wish there was a sequel on Wii or 360...

  • i remember playing this game.. I just thought of it, then found this video.

    It was a cool concept

  • I never saw this game in stores.

  • This is problably one of the best games ever made

  • Ah, so nice to see a console RPG with text-only dialogue. The horribly embarrasing voice work is usually what keeps me away from them. Will have to check this out. If anyone could suggest other text-only RPGs, it would be appreciated. Only other one I've seen is Shin MT Nocturne

  • What do you record with?

  • I love this game. I never played the sequel, though. I heard it was better than the first,

  • found this game last eek for $5 at a random second hand dvd shop, no boolet but the game and cover is undamages lol

    looks fun :)

  • @taciturnboy88 It will be some of the best five bucks you will ever spend:)

  • 1 don't remember if LK1/LK2 r popular at the times, but from my perspective, i'd never met anyone in real life that had actually talk to me about LK1/LK2. so i guess this game is not very well known. why does great games r rated soo low? who does those ratings anyway? kids?anyway, i do remember that this game was selling around at $49.99-$59.99 at the times. good memories.

  • @CX222666 It was a great game. Wonderful soundtrack, cool concept, and very impressive execution, there were at least two reasons why it wasn't so popular though...

From Software was not as popular at this time as they are now (With the "Soul" series) and as such their only standout series was Kings Field.

Activision was terrible at marketing, so most of their games they release never see a trailer outside of one or two on youtube.

  • @robloxfan459 thanks fir the info. and yes, demon souls and dark souls are my favorites too.

  • back in around 2002-2003 when i'd 1st played Lk2, i got hooked. i'd never try part 1 though. part 1 seems interesting as well. soo many good games on the gamecube that most ps2 players at the time would say that gamecube sucks; ppl still say that today. however, i still love and cherish the gamecube. tales of symphonia, r4, cvs2, and mario cart double dash are all the big hits of the nintendo gamecube; love them.

  • looks like a nice game - recommend?

  • This was another game I obsessed over when I was 14 right after I got my gamecube. The music is very nostalgic for me. I tried playing the game again when I was around 18 or 19 but I couldn't get through it, it was particulary boring for me compared to other amazing rpgs i've played. i ended up trading both one and two in, should have kept them just for old times sake.

  • I've been searching for this game for an hour now!! All i had to go by was my hazy memory, i could remember a girl being the lead and using monsters to fight... so it took awhile to find but im happy i did! I'm thinking about getting it again(my brother gave it away) to play on the wii.

  • epic nostalgia! i was so in love with this game!!!!

  • I remember... I was 10, my mom finally bought me that game... gamecube broke after the first act... Fail.

  • I love Lost Kingdom. It was the second game i got after Super Smash Bros. Melee. From Software makes some good JRPGs with West RPG style grafics.

  • I keep forgetting it's From Software. They need to publish they're own games. The games they make are so damn fun and amazing. The atmosphere is always perfect.

  • Shame activision can't still make good games.

  • @Keyeszx48 Well it wasn't really an Activision game. It was just the publisher, I think. It's a From Software game. Kinda like how Demon's Souls is a From Software game, and Atlus is only the US publisher.

  • I never got round to buying this game. Was always on my to get list... kinda sad I didn't get it now. Looks like fun. I understand you could play 2 or even 4 players somehow?

  • @Terramax Yes, there is a two player versus battle where you could fight a friend and their deck; the game restricts the use of some cards to make matches more fair.

  • @Vysethedetermined2 Would you recommend this game?

  • Nice game, I prefer LK2 though.

  • I still have this game, and to this day it is still as hard today as the day I bought it

  • One of the main reasons I regret selling my Gamecube. LK was made of awesome and I'm sad that it's become difficult to find an original copy nowadays, for me at least. I guess I'll buy a Wii in the future to play this one. Many thanks for reviewing this rare gem.
