I'm white, and I was raised in Texas, so there were many Hispanic people around. One of my friends was Mexican, he was like 10 I don't know much about him anymore (7 years ago) and his father worked a double shift, his mother was a babysitter and was a house wife. I'm white, and I was raised in Texas, so there were many Hispanic people around. One of my friends was Mexican, he was like 10 I don't know much about him anymore (7 years ago) and his father worked a double shift, his mother was a babysitter and was a house wife. And I've seen this alot, yet I also hear about Mexicans being 'lazy'. I don't get it. They get paid less so they work more. How is that lazy? The truth is a lot of these stereotype's fault is the U.S education system. Teacher's should be teaching history of all American's (Whole continent) so that way kids grow up knowning that Mexicans is just a multi cultural country. Because in Mexico there are Mestizo, Indigenous, Blacks, and a small White community.
The majority of Mexicans who enter the U.S are the very poor Indians. So you can see why a lot of Americans stereotype and have no clue on history. They just call them beaners.SMH

I am American Indian. "Native American" as some say. Here's the thing....in Indian Country and on most reservations you will go to, the people still call themselves Indians. Or "Natives" sometimes too but mostly we go by the name of our Nation/Tribe. "Native American" was made up by non-Native college professors who felt it was wrong to call Indians Indians because they felt it was "outdated and incorrect". Its just politically correctness.

I completely agree with you. My mother is Mexican and my father is Irish, French, Polish, and Italian. So I am multi-racial and people think it's so wrong to mix races. I took my father's side and am white looking (well a little tanner than most people), then when people find out I'm Mexican, they hate me. It's just not fair. I am proud of my father for marrying my mother, he did not care that my mom was Mexican, he loves his culture, our culture.
