  • TITANIC, the most used boatname in this game :)

  • Anyone know where i can get the game today? i miss it.. and I want to play it again so much..

  • I loved this game.

  • Blast from the past! One of the few games I miss from my youth. I noticed there is a modernized version available of this one, even an iPhone version coming. I wish someone would convert this to Android. Why, oh why I sold my Amiga away years ago, I scold myself when see this video.

    -> WinUAE.

  • Eines meiner ersten Wirtschafts-Sims

  • awesome game, could play for hours

  • The very first game I had on my Amiga in 1989!

  • ..and top-notch graphics by jim sachs! he was the man (also defender of the crown)

  • tokyo > der es salaam electronics

der es salaam > tokyo agricolture

  • Nice. But the game have a bug. You can better trade with ships. You can make so faster and more money. ^^

  • I used to do Houston to Calcutta and buy low and sell high the ships to make big bucks and get the best ships

  • Its on the IPOD! I have the lite version untill I get a iTunes card.

  • I remember one could earn a lot dealing with apartheid-South Africa, hehe. Always going to Cape Town...

  • San Francisco to Capetown was the most lucrative route, wasn't it? Just navigate the icebergs around Cape Horn and you could make a fortune. I could never work out how to save the shipwreck survivors in the dinghys however.

  • The game just come back to live for all iPhone and iPod touch users I have released a version of this classic edition from Amiga. we just added some buttons for the iPhone to be helpful when steering with the fingers.

  • spent hours on this as a kid aswell, blowout seeing it again

  • je jouais à ça quand j'avais 10 ans ! il était vraiment bien !

  • Schiff Ahoi! Hummel Hummel

    Sehr feines Spiel damals.

  • i loved this game so much

  • i could play this game for hours when i was a kid. fun to watch it again.

  • nice to see the old Amiga version as a video,

I am the author of the Game - I observed some color problems in the captains menue, maybe due to the version or grabber used.

  • I used to love this game! Nice to see the author of the game chose to pick on the video quality of a fan post that is really good ferking quality considering its off a 20year old system.

Bravo Rolf Dieter Klein, you've killed me...

  • was not a critic, was by interest.

I use the AMIGAFORVER emulator for example and the camtasia grabber which is quite nice.

by the way, for the amiga version we never get payed for the royalties. Was a disaster for us and prevented us for about 15 years to go back in the game market.

  • Mr. Klein, I am so sorry you never got the royalties. Me and my friends played this game SO MUCH. I'm very glad to hear that some of the old Amiga programmers still remember the games they created 20 years ago. You gave us, today's thirtysomethings, so much great entertainment. Thank you.

  • I loved this game! Stayed up for days as a kid, where can I play the original today? I dont have my amaiga anymore, sadly. This came and the games from Cinemaware, where just the best.... Ohhh how I long to play POC today, happy times :-)

  • you can get the windwos version from our web site portsofcall DE - there are bew versions also available.

  • Mr. Klein:

Loved to play your game on the A,miga!

At a certain moment me and my friends discovered you could earn more money trading ships then cargo...

I still have one question: was there a supposed end to the game? Or play it (like I did) for weeks and weeks?

    Regards, Henk

  • we had a game spending 10 years playing asking the same question.

    Its like in real life.
