I wrote the song after being inspired by a young soldier who came back home from Afghanistan and Bosnia suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He eventually lost his battle to PTSD. I hate to dump cold water on your warm fuzzy blanket - but the song is COMPLETELY WRONG for this!!!!!! The John Denver Song "You Say That The War Is All Over" is about the war that man seems to fight against the animals that we share the earth with - not the other humans!!!! Sorry - wrong song!
@AsianAmerican68 if by long before you mean 15 minutes then youre right the japanese gave them a paper telling of their opinion on the embargo it was 14 pages long at first only 13 were delivered they were going to deliver the last not page half an hour hour before the attack but the code breakers had a hard time interpriting the last note so it got there late

wow. you fail dummy. the Jap Naval code was not truly broken till the Battle of midway.
also FDR did not know that the Jap code was broken till after Pearl harbor even the very historical movie Tora tora tora explaisn that.
the U.S thought the Japs woudl attack the British Naval Base at Singapore, which they did a few days after Pearl!
BUT the U.S never knew when the attack would happen it was just talk to them.
the Jap navy left japan under silence,
