when it sounds like the oboe is overpowering the violin it is,i believe, supposed to be louder if not blended in with the violin saying that the violin is the accompaniment and all.

The oboe is consistently too loud and the violin can hardly be heard, and the oboe player should learn to lower her volume when her voice is accompanying the violin.
