  • Excellent work Joel! The XH-A1 seems to be pretty good in low light? Or is it aided by good lighting. Also, are you shooting to HD tapes or Standard Mini DV tapes?

  • @tdsilk Hey - sorry for the late reply. At the reception I have two stands 13' stands with 75 watt lights that I can turn on and off with remotely. The XH-A1 is not the best low-light performer. It usually needs some gamma and contrast boosting as well as a pass through a noise-reduction filter to look its best. I use the filter from neatvideo with fcp. I just use standard tapes...

  • Hello! That was shot with Canon XH-A1's and color-corrected and enhanced in Final Cut Pro.

  • Amazing work, Joel. You are truly a professional. As someone who shoots video too, I am impressed by things others might take for granted: color and exposure, for example. Spot on. Your storytelling ability is remarkable too. Love that shot at 5:29 of the bride & groom alone framed by the doorway. They will treasure this film for a lifetime.
