  • This song shall be my ringtone!

  • This Type Of Animation Was From Mad.

  • the ring tone was prolly the thong song :P

  • I wanna know what the ringtone IS!

  • what is this a parody of?

  • @jamrush123 It's not parodying a specific song, but rather Queen's style.

  • @glovestrong48 or youre going deaf...old age perhaps?....it reeks of queen

  • like this if you want this for your ringtone

  • Somewhere in heaven, Freddie Mercury is laughing (in a good way) at this.

  • I like the ringtone....

  • Thats my new ringtone.

  • I Love the song, but I really thought it could have used an upbeat, powerful ending like it was building up to, instead of that little ''ringtone...ringtone....ringtone'' fading in the background.

  • lol its realy like you and i

    from queen!!!

  • Brian May approves.

  • GREAT SONG! sounds like "You and I" from Queen ("A day at the races" album).

  • Lol, I hear there parodies for many Queen songs, but I like this video. Great! :D

  • Chinese Factory Workers LoL

  • The Guitar does sound a great deal like that of the great Chancellor Brian May PhD.

  • could be, or maybe someone just bought a red special

  • lol the korean army

  • you're trying to make friends over your PS3 thru youtube??

    You poor sad person :(

  • I don't have a PS3.

  • I was talking to the person who posted above.... BTW thanks for the Weird Al Vids!

  • i was joking -.-

  • of course you were......

  • ....

  • I too came here upon Dr. May's approval.

Sounds to me like it's loosely based on the Queen Track "Don't Stop Me now."

Amazes me how Al can able to produce something so corny and ridiculous, while at the same time musically doing justice to the original song.

Apart from tributes to Brian's Blazing riffs, and Queen's peerless harmonies, there's a nice John Deacon-esque style bass run around 0.14.

Nice work Al - Keep rockin'..

Thanks for making us smile, and occasionally cringe :D

  • This was so halarious

  • brian may, the guitarist for queen, said he liked it on his website

  • This is very funny!!! Very Queenish too!!!

  • yeah

  • this is from current tv's show super news, which is a very funny show. Weird Al was a fan of the show and Josh Fau Brac was a fan of his (he is the creator of the show)

  • Hmm, not his best work.

  • vocally I think it is

  • he need better source!

  • Is this the same animation team as in "Sue you?"

  • good question, can't tell,

the animators in Sue You were much smoother,

but maybe that was the approach to that music video

  • Just noticed this is by the same team that made that native american immigration thing. The one with the pilgrims coming into America and the indians expressing the same concerns as people today about illegal immigrants. You can even spot them somewhere in this video!

  • what song is this from queen

  • No. This is an original song by Al.

  • it isnt one its original, it just takes loads of riffs for loads of queens song to make his own

  • can you actually buy this as a ring tone

    i would

    weird al, you rock!

  • Just Don't Download This Song. Get it?

  • Actually, Yes. You can get "Ringtone" as a ringtone. Just search around for it. You'll find it.

  • shame this ones not at all funny.weird al really let himself down with this one.

  • Susan Boyle at 1:57

  • Haha, when I first heard this, I said to myself it sounded like a Queen style song, did realize it actually WAS!

  • Haha, lol xD

Weird Al rocks =) So does Queen <3

I came to this from Brian May's ( <3 ) page. Hh, keep making great videos ;)

  • Me too. I was just on his page.

  • Dancing iphone FTW!

  • i can recognise 'Dont Stop Me Now, You And I, If You Cant Beat Them'. Really good song!!! love it, love Queen!

  • what about now im here

  • @bluephoenixone

and the ending is similar to "The show must go on". Great song. It sounds more like Queen than their last album with Paul Rodgers! (Unfortunately)

  • Awesome song. A couple of Queen-songs molded into one, hardly original tune but damn it kicks ass!

2.40 and onwards makes me rofl!

    XD

  • Superb! Best not to over-analyse it though lads. It's a great bit of entertainment, and a very well observed nod to Queen. Dr May likes it too. Nuff said! Fab!

  • Since you all know what Songs this song is composed of, can you tell me weather the solo is from an existing song? I can't find tabs and am too lazy to figure the notes out myself ^^

  • I don't appreciate joking about children or anybody who's in a bad way.

  • I don't think he was joking about them. More, actually, he seemed to be raising awareness for those issues, in a strange kind of way, by basically sarcastically singing that "Everybody hates my ringtone"; it's sort of like saying "like these African children who are starving or Muslims who are in the middle of war-stricken countries really care about my little problems, such as a ringtone I regret buying". It's basically saying that there are more important things in the world than that.

  • Lol, okay that was pretty clever. I like that he didn't just throw different Queen songs together (kind of what I was expecting) but seemed to get their style down pretty well. <3

  • Funny as all get out.

  • hey, that sounds like 'If You Cant Beat Them'... well at 1:34 anyways

  • QUEENTASTIC!

  • I see some parts of "If you cant beat them" and "Don't Stop me now", but which parts are which parodys of rest?

  • Its very hard to say which parts parody what, because I think this is more to do with the styles than the melodies. The backing vocals are very ELO sounding, the intro is very much "Don't Stop Me Now" style, and you can here a kind of "Now I'm Here" type riff. Where abouts can you here "If you can't Beat them"?

  • i remember when he did another one rides the bus back in 80 OMG 30 years ago? this guy never loses his skill and ablility to entertain to the full

keep it up Al and thanks Brian for the lead

  • awsome

  • very good except for the starving kids reference

  • @hironoodles - Because y'know, there was a harmful intent behind that starving kids reference.

And the actual harm caused is just out of this world.

    /extreme sarcasm.

  • I love Weird Al and this song & video, but I blinked at the Angola reference too, hironoodles, I wish they hadn't been drawn quite so thin. Since this is a Queen parody it reminds me of their great triumph at Live Aid ('85) and how I wish we could have done more for that cause in those 24 years.

Although Al has always been apolitical perhaps he did wish to subtly draw attention to the fact that there are worse things in the world than annoying ringtones.

  • What, do you think Weird Al was making fun of them or something? He obviously wasn't. In fact, in a way this is sort of raising awareness for that, because obviously Weird Al is using sarcasm to say that there are many way more important things than ringtones and cell phones in generals. Such as starving children, problems in the Middle East, etc., etc. He referenced it all in this video.

  • GREAT!

  • I saw this through Brian's Soapbox. Great song

  • Does every new Weird Al song need a crummy Flash video? I can't bear to watch!

  • I think there are also parts of "You and I" in the end of this song

  • Don`t forget The Show Must Go On (Innuendo) at the very end "Ringtone, ringtone, ringtone..."

  • I don't think that is The Show Must Go On, its just supposed to represent a phone repeatedly ringing.

  • Is not that important, but it sounds like the scrathed vinyl effect at the end of The Show Must Go On... Same harmonies!

  • Awesome Job! Great Queen Tones from:- If you cant beat them (Jazz), Don't Stop me now (Jazz), Now I'm here (Sheer Heart Attack), Headlong (Innuendo), Hammer to Fall (The Works)

  • I heard parts of "Now I'm Here" in the first guitar solo, haha.

  • Queen + Al = win

  • This is just perfect! Good music and so true...ROTF :D

  • WOOOOOOOO!

i love weird al and i love queen... this is perfect! :D

  • Brian brought me here....VERY Queen-esque

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Good stuff!

  • <3 Current TV and Weird Al

  • Precisely why I've opted for a traditional old 'brring-brring' on my phone. It's the Moses of ringtones.

  • haha.

  • Bahahahahahah :)

  • weirds al ROCKS!!

  • I was linked to this by Mr Brian May himself. Now THATS a plug, haha :D This rules

  • yeah, i found it through brian too! :)

  • Gotta love Brian's Soapbox :D

This is awesome! Weird Al rocks!!

  • Haha this is great. I've always loved Weird Al's stuff.

  • Weird Al is my hero

  • This is gonna be my ringtone!

  • weird al rocks

  • Good work Weird Al! I'm sure a lot of us can relate to this. For those who will ask "Who's this parodying?" the answer is it is an original song in the style of Queen.
