  • I preffer the grilled ones mmmmmmmm and when they are coated in sauce it is sooooo good!

Swedish people make some of the best so I hope to go there this summer again xD

  • For me, I would prefer oven because I have a terrible propane grill that hardly functions.

  • hey jack i have a microwave oven with a grill feature, and i put BBQ sauce on the meat before putting it into the oven. Wonder if that would work out

  • baked looks a little too tender for me and grilled looks better

  • i wanna buy your Sauce, in Australia :(

  • So in the oven @ 475F? My oven doesn't work in Cel.

  • @dyslexicpimp no. my temp was Fahrenheit in the video.

  • @dyslexicpimp 250 cel for 3 hours you would have the fire brigade on it's way

  • i like to char both sides of the ribs to sear the meat then i put em in a pan and bake them. best of both worlds :)

  • Hey jack , love the show , been doing ribs for years , I do my ribs on the grill in foil on med/low for about an hour then sear while also applying the BBQ sauce on the grill , try that out !

  • @koke311 i'll have to try that method.

  • i think the bbq:s are better

  • Are you shipping your sauce to germany?

  • woho!

  • I'm going to have to try your baked version. My parents always boiled and then baked and I just followed like a duck.

  • I'm on diet! watch this video, I want to die. hix.

  • Do you prefer the normal or the hot version of your BBQ sauce for everyday cooking?

  • @lindyan normal when company is over. Hot when I am just cooking for me.

  • Hey Jak, just throwing it out there, you may like it, I definitely recommend you try it anyway. This is how I do it

I usually coat the ribs with seasoning, then crust it with brown sugar. Pour a little bit of coke on the bottom of the tray, then seal the WHOLE thing, rather than just the ribs. Toss in the oven at 270 for 2.5 hours. Once thats done, I use a charcoal bbq, and throw in some apple wood. Put the sauce on the ribs, grill on indirect heat, both sides, 15 minutes - the BEST :)

  • @vvbn7890 sounds amazing.

  • @vvbn7890 those ribs sound god-like

  • @GHORP500 Actually real easy to do too :P Just time consuming. Shoot me a PM if you want some details on the seasoning and what not.

  • This made my mouth water

  • Hey jack i got a question about your sauce....will it burn easy on the BBQ ?

  • @ace2472 If you put it on at the last minute, no. BBQ sauce has a lot of sugar in it which will burn if left on direct heat for a long time. You should only put sauce on shortly before you take them off.

  • @ace2472 Not really. They will burn if on direct flame too long so I just put them on the food last 10 minutes.

  • ACTUALLY!

those baked ribs have ABSOLUTELY no carmalization on them....it would be impossible to get them carmalized whilst being 'tented' in the oven thus, no browning of sugars will occour.

  • How can we get those amazing sauces here in europe? I'd be willing to risk the shipping, but if it costs an arm and a leg then ... Hmmm

  • BBQ RIBS ARE BETTER

  • ilike bbq more but unfortunately were i live its still snowing so i can only do them in the oven.and oh yeah i wish you sold your sauces separately cuz i cant buy the whole package right now :[ and they look sooooo good.

  • @stephany1800 i don't mind grilling while standing in 10 inches high snow. I mean, the grill keeps you warm.. ;)

  • @djteac lol that sounds like fun i have never ever tried grilling in the snow.

  • Comment removed

  • I like smoked ribs for about 4 hours. When are you making something smoked?? Do you even own a smoker? Love all the videos keep it up.

  • I'm glad you uploaded it again. I never knew it was so easy! I must bake some ribs now!

  • looks like they both taste great

  • I wish you still shipped to Canada. I'd love to try your sauce :\

  • Looks delicious!

  • I didn't realize it was so easy to bake ribs! I love your videos, Jack!

  • I make my ribs in a pressure cooker. Really tender and fast!

    -Doug

  • what type of meat were those ribs?

  • @xXFumbles16Xx those were pork spare ribs trimmed. I have another ribs video called BBQ Ribs that shows you how to buy the cheap ribs and trim them. It's takes no time and you'll save tons of money

  • @jakatak69 thanks Im gonna try baking ribs soon haha I might buy some of your sauce too looks good(:

  • jack you ever watch that tv show with the guys who cook BBQ for competition it's pretty crazy the lengths they go to making their ribs and the y cook them for like 3 hours. It's been ages since i've had ribs so thats right this weekend i'll be BBQing up a full rack :D

    Great show

    Keep it up man!

  • Blast from the past! Was fun watching this again.

  • @jakatak69 hi jack, why dont u just put your sauce on the ribs before you pop it in the oven? what difference will that make?

  • @candieyc probably because it will burn after 2 hours of cooking.

  • @candieyc I wanted to see the difference between the two. Putting sauce on them in the oven wouldn't show you how the look when they come out. Also some people don't like sauce and it's okay to not use sauce on ribs and just seasoning. I normally sauce 10 min before finished on the grill and the whole time in the oven.

  • What seasoning are you using for the baked ribs?

  • @tomlinid that episode I went with garlic and onion powder or salt. I can't remember.

  • I say combine the tools, bake it for 2 hours, then bring her out to the BBQ with some wood chips for smoking, and seer it and brush on a few layers of sauce.

  • Meat should go on a grill, in my oppinion =)

  • I too am on the put-sauce-on-ribs-before-or-halfway-through-the-cooking wagon =)

  • It's better to uncover the baked ribs for about a half hour at the end and turn up the heat to about 300. This browns them really nice. Then put the sauce on and bake them for about 15 minutes more. Tender and more like BBQ ribs.

  • Jack, I asked you yesterday via a comment on one of your previous videos from last year about how to prepare ribs in the oven (my grill died), and you promptly gave me advice. You are awesome. I did not know you were coming out with this video, otherwise my question would have been answered. Thanks for taking the time to help a fan out.

  • @gorillamyke my pleasure. I wanted to get back to you before Memorial Day. That would suck if I didn't.

  • when are you smoking something?

  • @dabul3169 - I'm pretty sure Jack was smoking something when he confused BBQ with grilling ;-)

  • this time i'm eating while i watch, so i'm not jealous. haha!

  • if you hit that sauce with heat for a couple more minutes it would be 100 times better i promis

  • I like to fight with my ribs so i would BBQ them :)

  • I use both methods when I make ribs. First I wrap my ribs in foil and bake them either on the grill of oven for about 1.5 to 2 hrs, then I unwrap them and put them on the grill to take off extra moisture. Finally, I put BBQ sauce on them and continue to cook them on the grill until finished. I like my ribs to come off the bone, but not fall off. Thanks for rebroadcasting this episode Jack!

  • I put the sauce on while it's cooking. Am I doing it wrong?

  • @Michaelsp9 that helps caramelize the sauce. it's totally correct to do it that way.

  • Dear Jack, can u sell me the sauces as my dad is also a cook like u.my country Singapore,i know that u said it will break during the journey but if it is possible message me(i will pay for the shipping)

  • I would think the BBQ Ribs would taste better to me.

  • Background music again?

  • I was expecting you to hiss or something when you tasted the ribs and were telling people to back off.

  • hey jack, not to be a annoyance but. when u do sensory evaluation/ tasting basically, its best to wash ur palette with a cup of water . Therefore its easier to do tasting. :) just something i learnt in schoool under food science :)

  • What happened to your glasses?

  • I usually marinate mine for a day in my secret marinate.

Then i slowly bake them for at least 4 hours on a really low temperature.

Under the roast with the ribs, i put a pan containing water and liquid smoke.

A few minutes before serving, i crank up the heat really high to get a nice maillard reaction.

They come out so tender and juicy. The taste is also awesome.

Not up par with ribs from a smoker, but damn close.

  • You monster! You threw away the juices from the baked rips >:O

  • sooo hungry!!

  • I like'm both ways!!!

  • Hmm, I think I'm going to order your sauce tomorrow. Lol

  • I bake the ribs slow and low then finish them on the bbq. Best way to do it!

  • too....much....bbq....sauce

  • In my opinion, I prefer to put the BBQ sauce on while it's BBQ'ing. Not when it's done...

  • I was wondering why this video seemed so familiar... XD

  • baked ribs are always the best!

  • I waaant that sauce. I'm gonna ask for a basket of all the different sauces for an anniversary gift from the boy. In return I will make THIS. How can he refuse?

  • im from scotland want to try that sauce so bad lol :( !

  • Dangit!!! i was all set to enjoy my top ramen and now i have an apatite for bbq ribs

    =(

  • im pretty sure u r suppposed to bake or barbecue the ribs WITH the sauce after its cooke, not just smother it on

  • @MrRombert I'm pretty sure you can do it however you want.

  • @jakatak69 That made me lol

  • @jakatak69 You're a great cook, but please watch your health.

  • @MrRombert You can't bbq with the sauce, it'll burn because of the sugar.

Baking is fine, but won't come out great. I preffer to apply it a few minutes before it's done so it sinks in (:

  • @DaemonTFO thats what i always do. If i add BBQ sauce, i'll do it just a few minutes before its done.

But usually i create an oil based marinate that will not burn when grilled.

  • @djteac That's good too (: I have a friend who fries ribs :O Yes, fucked up. But fucking delicious XD

  • @DaemonTFO i never tried that. But it actually doesn't sound bad. I just bought a huge load (10 pounds) of Ribs yesterday for a party tomorrow.

Maybe i will leave a few raw, and try to fry them later this week. Its your fault making me eat more ribs !

But damn i do love ribs <3

  • @djteac xD

  • @MrRombert my dad says sometimes if you put the BBQ sauce on first then bake/BBQ, the sauce usually burns then the ribs have a bitter flavour. He likes to put iton when there not much cooking time left, like jack did :)

  • @MrRombert It doesn't sound like you much know what you're talking about.

  • @MrRombert if throw it while they're cooking, there's chances the sugar will burn

  • I'm hungry :/, haha xD,

  • mmmm looks soo delish!

  • @xdaysx I used to doctor up bulls eye. Sweet baby rays was good until it sold to Ken's Dressing in Las Vegas. Then the formulas got worse.

  • Jack, if you're doing a taste test on both kinds of ribs you shouldn't put sauce on them because de sauce changes de original flavours... Just my 2 cents ;)

  • i swear jack, im gonna buy all those sauces you have one day when i have to extra cash. maybe i'll ask someone to buy it for me on my birthday lol

  • that sauce does look good

  • I think that rotisserie is best for ribs.

  • kayyy so there's a pool of drool in my room ; im scared D:

  • i just want to say thank you. I like ur videos cuz i like watch other people eat the junk I can't eat =(

  • It's nearly summer, that means more barbecue videos again! :D

  • @GwresYnKernow I am doing a grilling series coming up.

  • i dont like this style of vid jack =[ go back 2 normal! =]

  • @Halo3sauer check his description thingy. he's just reposting this vid..

  • sue youtube!

  • I know this is a little out there but, i wanna see if you can try to colab with epicmealtime, i know they might be a little unhealthy but hey, its good to see the partly uncommon cooks come together either to work things out on knowing each other better or idk. I mean its your choice if you want to.

  • @xunkownx499 who are they? I have no problem colabing

  • @jakatak69 epicmealtime is the most frightening thing i have ever seen on youtube. i would totally recommend not! haha.

  • @jakatak69 LOL! You + EpicMealTime = Maximum level of epicosity and hilarity!

  • @xoclkox I just wanted their latest episode and I don't think we are on the same page of entertainment. They drink and curse on their show. I have too many kids watching my show. That collaboration wouldn't work.

  • @jakatak69 There on youtube

  • @jakatak69 :O how can you not know who epic meal time is!?!?!??!?! youtube it NOW jack!!

  • @jakatak69 you should see them, its a cook show, but more insane, they ALWAYS have bacon in there episodes, i mean you should check them out. Epicmealtime is mostly supposed to be an insane cook show thats funny and sorta unhealthy (well, if you eat what they cooked all by yourself). They create a food creation and they get lots of people to eat chunks of it. If you check them out and you do like them then thats okay I would then see why.

  • @jakatak69 lol wait until you see what they do. I'll give you a hint, it's the polar opposite of a cooking show.

  • @xunkownx499 I second this notion. But they live in Canada so it would be a bit of traveling.

  • Hi jack! How long did you cook your ribs on the grill for to get them to falling off the bone?

  • @teasemegirl usually 45 minutes to an hour. I take them off when I see about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of bone on the ends of most of the ribs.

  • My mouth is watering so freakin much right now!

  • classic jack

  • Hi Jack,

I have a question about your sauce. Are there any meat products in it?

I can't eat meat for religious reasons.

    Thanks!

  • @Clearstarsummer no meat in any of my sauces. No peanuts, no MSG. It's all good. I have many vegetarians that use my teriyaki on stir fry veggies and rice. My bbq on pasta, pizza, and tofu chili.

  • I want ribs so bad right now!

  • Nice Jack! I prefer the grill as well like you. It took me about 2 years to get my ribs and sauce perfect! Keep up the great work.

  • ahhh i knew this was an old video (x and i think im gonna force my mom to make ribs now :D

  • I saw the title and I had to grab a napkin to catch the drool.

  • its not firday yet tho hmmm nice vid jack yummy im hungery now
