bbomber734. White people today have ABSOUTELY NOTHING to do with the white people that abused black people during the years of slavery. It's people like you who hold your race back. You want to be treated as an equal but you don't want to accept the white man into your culture. And remember it was a White man that ENDED slavery. Stop your hypocracy.
I know this is kind of late since the Isiah Thomas trial was a while ago but....I would like thank you for being a true black man and a true individual. Whenever a black woman is verbally or physically attacked...true black men have a built-in defense mechanism in our mental make-up to defend them. The sad fact is that most perpertrators resemble me (a black man)...not Don Imus. God bless you...Mr. Gainey. Our ancestors are smiling down at you.
Isiah is looking at it from the perspective of the white man raping and abusing black women in slavery. Most of you can't identify because you're white, but blacks haven't forgotton the terrible deeds whites have performed on blacks. What he said sounds messed up but it is reality. Just like a white man can't call any black nigger in his face, but a black person can. It all sounds messed up but whether you like it or not white people, you created this mentality!
I couldn't agree more. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are hypocritical. I'm all for equality, but I feel that they themselves are quite racist. They only seem to care when it's white racism towards blacks...and many times they try to make a race issue where there isn't one. Isiah Thomas is extremely racist, yet there is no outcry against him. In 1987 he said that Larry Bird was only considered a great basketball player because he was white...
I don't really know...but realistically in this country in today's day and age if someone is part black and part anything else they are usually considered black
yes Rodman made the initial claim but Isiah's comment was "...I have to agree with Rodman. If he were black, he'd be just another good guy." Usually people who aren't racist don't agree with racist things that are said. Also during the sexual harassment trial Anucha Browne-Sanders testified that Isiah told her he didn't care about these "fucking white people" or these "fucking season ticket holders."
I don't think Thomas said it's okay for black men to call women bitches, but that a white man doing so was extraordinarily offensive. I agree with you on him being a hypocrite, however I think everyone is.
What is this word hypocricy...Hating your own race If Im correct or please correct me if im wrong. Somebody has got to to stop using that word cause its a defensive way of saying racist. Now this way would be better to say this... J.Jackson, A.Sharpton, I.Thomas are RACIST, SEXIST, HYPOCRITE, P....I....G...S! THERE NOW ITS BETTER.
My thoughts exactly. I've come across many videos with the same message. I love'em , but we need to take it to the next level. We (as black people) need to stop giving in to peer pressure. Some of us don't speak our real minds and fail to give in to being ourselves. Some of us don't know who to be so we act, dress, and talk like T.I or snoop. Let's keep the conversation going...
Just because you didn't hear Sharpton or Jackson voice their opinion on the matter (primarily because it wasn't broadcasted) doesn't mean they speak publically on the issue, the fact is they both did.
the best way to deal with jackon and sharpton is the same way i deal with sean hannity and bill o'reily, ignore them. everything they say is ridiculous and/or racist.
Hypocrisy is killing your race now as it is killing the jews who own the media (and openly brag about it)....Jesse Jackson is on record as having boasted that, while working as a busboy down south, he used to spit in plates of food being served to white patrons---this is a suitable symbol of leadership for blacks?
Well understand this if we don't educate these young black kids now all this will be a continuing cycle, black on black crime and if it took U this long 2 figure out Al and Jesse are hyprocites then U need 2 crawl under a rock
Well just yesterday I read in the newspaper that Al Sharpton was going to boycott the Knicks if he doesn't apologize. Well why didn't he already take action once he saw Isiah saying this about women. Kind of late don't you think. Could it be because it's a woman. Also, when asked by a reporter what he thought about Anucha's 11 million victorty, he had no comment.
im white and i totally agree...isiah is a sick piece of shit and i agree with you Gelray...they need to pursue this matter...because i could almost guarentee you that if this was a white man doing this to a black female...they would be all over this...but im with you all...no one should be called those words
To be fair to Sharpton and Jackson, they did not get anywhere near as involved in the Duke lacrosse case as, for example, the NAACP, who wanted to convict the accused boys the day after the charges were filed. Still, calling them out on their lack of interest in black on black issues is worthwhile. However, Gelray, you are wasting your time on a complete classless ass of a human being in Isiah Thomas. He has proven it over, and over, and over again.
The last post was a reply to quismas' post and the comparison was a just a metaphor. I understood your video and Im sorry I was sidetracked by someone else's opinion. Comments should reflect your video only.
How do white people oppress blacks in todays society. All races are in a struggle for survival. It is not a black issue. Be glad you are not in Africa where millions are dying and their governments only care about lining their pockets. Look at all of the mexican people that are risking their lives to come here. So please dont blame whites for all your problems.
I never mentioned oppressed.. where did you get that from. I have succeeded in my endeavours. I never mentioned being in Africa...where did you get that from. I think you misunderstood my video.
Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are not hypocritical on this issue. No one can be all things to all people. While black on black conflict is real, I also know that white on black oppression is historic, systematic and still alive and well.
This young man makes alot of sense and Im glad he called out Sharpton and Jackson. This shows light on what their agenda is. There is no platform for them when its black on black, only white on black. They are in the eyes of many whites, the equivalent of the KKK and its unbelieveable how they can get so many black people to believe in them.
As a white man in America, it hurts me that anyone would call a woman a bitch. In this day and age, women are more stronger than men in most cases. Racism in itself, is nothing but ignorance. I have friends of all races and I am proud of that. Just treat people as individuals and respect them; it is as simple as that.
Wrong is wrong. If it's wrong when white people do it, it's wrong when "black" people do it to BLACK people. Also, it hurts more coming from our own community. Nothing hurts worse than being betrayed by "family" who should know better.
When white people make comments about our people, it's a problem, but for some reason, when "black" people make generalizations about BLACK people, no one looks at it as wrong. Bill Cosby cant tell me ANYTHING about the black experience. Neither can OJ, Wesley Snipes, Barry Bonds, Quincy Jones, or any other men with their lips on white asses.
Very well spoken. If our "leaders" wont stand up for us, its time we find new voices. Michael Eric Dyson & Louis Farakkhan cant do it by themselves. When you're revolutionary & FOR OUR people, political correctness goes out the window. If you cant fight for us in EVERY case, get out of the ring. Let our strong voices be heard & those just looking for airtime, put them on BET with the rest of the weakminded individuals chasing spotlight.
I think is sad that a black man has the balls to call his woman, queen of the universe, mother of the planet earth out of her name. The black woman bore civilizaiton. I don't condone calling the black woman a bitch because she is not that. Now will the real bitch stand up. From a black man to a black man. You are sorry when you call your black woman other than what she is. You are afraid to call the white woman a bitch, but you have the balls to call your woman a bitch.
First of all let's just get this out in the open: EVERYBODY IS A HYPOCRITE! That's just the nature of man. Everybody says one thing and does another. Now being a hypocrite isn't always bad. A guy can say, "I'm not going to give any type of charity to those brats!" Then the guy winds up donating and spending time with those same kids. So being a hypocrite isn't a bad thing; it's just saying one thing and doing another. Everybody is a hypocrite.
I also think when people are called to their own, it helps them(us). For instance, I have been checked myself, it has only helped me understand different points of view. And in this world it helps to know what people think and most improtant-why they think it. Our ability to take constructive criticism is a very powerful characteristic. Take Care..
I hear you but all this is elementary. When a child is growing up, they are taught not to say bad words. The thing that ticks me off about all of this is that adults are being held to the standard of children. I mean isn't this just too crazy? If a guy says a bad word, so what? It's not the end of the world. Just like eating a cookie before dinner is not going to ruin your appetite.
Just to redirect all of this, My vid was really about calling our leaders to task of even handed-ness. So, to get to deep into thomas is not doing the vid justice. I talked about our leaders and our own internal hypcrisy. For instance, some white folks have treated "Black" folks bad forever. But just I heard a brotha tell another brotha "How Black.." someone was. Do you feel me... We are doing a lot of damage to ourselves.
Yeah bro, I hear you. I've been saying this for years. All this self-hate is stupid. I mean if we stop listening to Jim Crow and Willy Lynch, maybe we can actually think for ourselves and not destroy one another? Plus, all the issues of our community can be solved simply by not killing and treating one another with civility. It's not that hard not to bash or kill someone. The problem is that we listen to white people too much and believe what they say.
Look at the entire video in the court room, then make the proper judgement. Listen to the question and how it was worded and how Isiah responded; then look at what he said afterwards. This guy really needs to get his stuff straight.
My main focus is dialogue between us folks on how we are being perceived as hypocrites. I am not trying to bring down a successful brother, I got my own bread(big house-big cars-big bank). It's bigger than that. I respect all opinions.. those that disagree and those that don't. Even though you are critical of me...thanks for your input.
I am a 46 year old white woman, and I don't know if it is because now that I am aging I am becoming old fashioned; but I cannot understand what is happening in this nation where we are losing more and more respect for each other at an alarming rate. How can we regain any respect from other nations of this world when we cannot respect ourselves? Technology is evolving. Humanity is devolving. America the divided. Sad isn't it? God Bless America - God Bless Humanity! God Bless us EVERYONE!
I agree, I was outraged by the whole thing. I did a blog on it on my 360 page, I pegged Isiah as no different from Imus or anybody else and the case should be treated as such. Self hatred, Hipocrosy and degredation must stop! Great video... Keem em' coming!

True, it is wrong for any color. I just took off from I. Thomas "black women" testimony. As far as race goes, it is still one of the underlying threads that unravels a lot of current day issues. We simply cannot not agree on what to do about it. Some say affirm act. bad some say it is good...See what I mean...
Good thoughts. Very intelligent.
