It is wonderful to see a horse & rider who are well matched...You are the right size for this little mare. Too many way too heavy (fat) people think these PP's can carry them. The rider & saddle weight should never exceed 25% of the horses total weight. We have several PP's who are permanently sored up or forever lame because of heavy riders.
your mare has a very beautiful shiny coat and a smooth gate. She is pretty but I don't usually find peruvian pasos with such long backs. They must have short backs, arched necks, tuck their hind feet well under their body and lift those front legs with termino to be considered in shows. nice looking mare still.

Yes, but you can't use that kind of tack in a Peruvian Paso show, which requires traditional Peruvian tack. My horse responds well to both kinds of saddles and tack, as I tend to use the wintec dressage saddle when it is especially hot outside, and the ride is going to be short.
No apologies needed for the tack, in fact it is very good that people saw her in tack they recognize. If you had made it into your class, I bet you would have done very well. Your mare is very smooth and well gaited. Her head set is great too. My family and I have 4 PPs and even though we think they are beautiful, your Perla is outstanding! Kat / Tiburon Farm

Thanks. I do not use a bit with her. She is well trained and does not need one. She is wearing a leather Paso headset only.

Ah I love Peruvian Pasos. I had one, she isn't as smooth, but she is a high stepper. She was goregous. You have a beautiful horse ^^
