@pullahoko actually, he has always been Eggman. When they translated Sonic 1's manuel into english, they changed Eggman to Robotnik, because Eggman didn't sound very threatening, evidenced in Wing Fortress Zone when it says EGGMAN in big letters on parts of the ship. Robotnik is just what the fans use to distinguish Classic from Modern.

Nopes. The first and last statements are false. Especially not according to my Saturday morning Sonic cartoons....... lol Besides fans from the beginning usually call him Robotnik still. It was originally Eggman in Japanese but never in America until like the Adventure series when Sonic used it as a joke first. Later on, Robotnik embraced the title. He's very much still Dr. Ivo Robotnik to me. haha

@MorganFam5 Jason Griffith was the voice of 06 and had been since Heroes until Colors. Mainly to streamline the voice cast with the 4kids staff. That and because Ryan Drummond wanted a raise and Sega wouldn't give it. As well as the first Eggman's voice death. Jason Griffith was universally panned due to the circumstances and after the contract with 4kids ended they changed the voices except Eggman's And the new voices seem to have gained more acceptance

At the very least i find Roger has improved Sonic's personality. Just don't make him do a Jaleel White, it is torture to hear him channel SatAm Sonic.

@MorganFam5 Also remember that many gamers now watch anime thanks to Pokemon's success and 4kids has had a really bad reputation due to its dubs and unnecesary edits. Especially with the advent of Youtube, fansubs and Toonami and Adult swim's superior dubs. And cemented with One piece whose dub was so bad that it destroyed the franchises attempts at crossing the pond. So basically 4kids created a stigma in all of its works and employees.

@Hademaster64tv Sonic Unleashed Super Sonic scene was about 30-45 seconds long. Shadow's super form took about 30 seconds. My point is, it doesn't matter how long the transformation is, as long as it delivers an epic feel. This one didn't really deliver much imo. although the music choice surprised me.
