Looks like kids STILL don't know what a tier list is. A character higher on the list won't always beat a a lower one, when a bottom tier character wins, it doesn't mean tier lists are useless. Thats a good sonic!although heres a tip though coming from a fellow sonic player...when you dash up to a person ( run not spin dash) try to get a throw in instead of just a dash attack...it takes practice but it helps to keep your dash attack from wearing out...plus everytime you do it the opponent gets 8% AND you can put them in a good position to follow up with another attack :D THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES! BWUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
considering this vid was posted feb 4th, it's unfair to say they aren't very good. most of the vids of brawl that we were getting before the release date were of people who'd just spam fsmashes constantly.

Very nice. I saw this vid a few day's ago and realized short hopping is the key to sonic's pwnage. I immediately started practicing short hopping in melee... wich was tough -_- it's pretty damn hard to master short hopping. Anyway back on topic. I played this game with a couple of freinds lastnight for the first time and not only is short hopping easier, it let me pull off so many combos. This isn't the best sonic I've seen I'll admit, but a very good one. He didn't grab enough though, imo.
i like having more characters in the game, its better and so what if they're third party, the only thing that matters is how fun the game is, not who is in it.

i hope that no other third party companies join ssb. it takes away from the fact that its a nintendo game. this game will soon turn into a MvC game and others like it. i would love to see more nintendo characters in future releases but keep the third party companies out of this

Psh the onyl character who dosent belong in brawl is Snake. Whether they be nintendo characters or not, he is the only "normal" human there. He plays in games where you sneak around and strangle people.

Very nice. I saw this vid a few day's ago and realized short hopping is the key to sonic's pwnage. I immediately started practicing short hopping in melee... wich was tough -_- it's pretty damn hard to master short hopping. Anyway back on topic. I played this game with a couple of freinds lastnight for the first time and not only is short hopping easier, it let me pull off so many combos. This isn't the best sonic I've seen I'll admit, but a very good one. He didn't grab enough though, imo.

i hope that no other third party companies join ssb. it takes away from the fact that its a nintendo game. this game will soon turn into a MvC game and others like it. i would love to see more nintendo characters in future releases but keep the third party companies out of this

What the hell are you talking about? Having a much broader character selection to choose from would make this game even better.. I wouldnt mind if it turned into MVC because in truth, MvC is one of the best fighters out there to this very day..

its good he is in there. it shows that other campanies can ban together and create something in a game just for the fun of it and not always care about the money they make (im sure some cash went somewhere for the deal, but that isnt the point im making) hopefully there will be another smash brother and next time there will be like 70 characters ~megaman included ^-^

To explain why the intial replier is laughing, here's a little list:
1. Sega allows the use of Sonic by HAL for a price.
2. HAL will use this franchise to broaden the audience that would be interested in this game.
3. Sega probably didn't lift a finger besides the OK for HAL to use this franchise.
To put it shortly, it's all about easy money, whether the end result is fun or not (preferrably fun, otherwise how would the game sell?).

Psh the onyl character who dosent belong in brawl is Snake. Whether they be nintendo characters or not, he is the only "normal" human there. He plays in games where you sneak around and strangle people.

does it matter? as long as its a playable character that you can have fun with who gives a dam if it "dong fit in" how the hell does pokemon fit in with sonic, or any of the other things? it doesnt b/c there is only one theme for this game. a bunch of your favorite character fighting each other so u can win and call the other person a noob,lol
