  • Ike Hall was my husband's uncle. You will never know how wonderful and touching it was to find this video on you tube. We were able to show it to my father-in-law (Ike's brother), it was really special. Thank you! PS - if you are able to let me know a way to obtain this video, other than via you tube, that would be great (my father-in-law doesn't use a computer). Thanks again!

  • Everett was my great uncle. I don't know when the last time I saw everyone was. How is everyone?

  • The man playing that piano was my grandpa, i love you and miss you so much.

  • I enjoyed the video. Thank you.

  • Pianist Everett Reece was our pianist at the church I pastored in Davis, California, in the 1980s. Everett, we will miss you.

  • I am sad to report that the man playing piano in this video Everett "Grandpa" Reece lost his 2 year battle with cancer on Tuesday Dec. 2 2008. now he is completely healed and singing and playing at the fathers side. God Bless you and we will miss you Grandpa and see you soon.

  • Is that Jerry Redd singing Tenor?

  • Yes - members are listed in the info section

  • First quartet of southern gospel. They were the front runners. I believe the Florida Boys followed soon after.

  • As usual another great gem from the Professor.

  • I used to go to the concerts in Memphis at the Ellis Auditorium in the ate 50's and early 60's. The Blackwoods would dominate the venue with the Blackwood Boys, the Blackwood Junior Quartet and the Memphians to be followed by the Blackwood Brothers....!!!
