Democrat pretext (now) includes their incessant complaints of "warmongering". Whereas Democrats were happy as pigs in slop throughout Clinton's reign, wherein he bombed a dozen or so nations (6 in one year). Thus their warmmongering complaint now is obviously pretext.
In fact, Democrats are always happy to use the military as long as it's NOT in US interest to do so, e.g., Kosovo. It's only when US interests are being defended that Democrats squeal. Thus, it's pretext masking their treason.
