Arm chair LSO: Bit too low and too fast for a "tall moose" No GRADE pass ( I didnt see the what wire you grabbed and you looked fast but could not see the airspeed )
Nice job thanks for posting. I hope to land the VRS Rhino someday soon
Ease off power, come right, check you angle of attack, watch the ball not the deck and wires. Caught the one wire and almost slammed into the hard deck.
@coastermania17 Yeh thats true, but they do that after they have touched down, and they land at 130kts depending on the whether, not whatever you was doing. that looked like 170kts lol
Dear god... You're landing at like 200 knots. Makes me wonder if that's actually a landing or a fast fly-by...

Those were some pretty horrible landings...

HAHA, how fast was you going!! if that was real you would have snapped the wire or hook!
Podaliny 3 years ago 7
@Podaliny not necessarily, real pilots go to full afterburner when they land on a carrier just in case they miss the wire and have to take off again

@Podaliny he was going around 180 KIAS on touchdown, so about 30 KIAS over!
Ya definitley a snaped hook :)

You came in too low. Use the 'ball' on the port side of the carrier to line up.

if yo look at the ball in the video it is just right he was just going to fast

@evalastone "any landing you can walk away from is a good one" :P
