Just seen this guy last Sunday in Branson..He was a sweetie.
I have seen lots of ETA'sm Dean Vegas is a real nice friendly guy and his shows are great. There are many that have bad clips on here but for the most part you get good shows..best I ve seen so far is Shawn Klush. But Dean Z was really good.
Dean Z sets the stage on fire. He is an impersonator - with his own firey personality, which makes him DEVINE to see in person. You could see his show over and over and the man simply draws you in - both on his talent in portraying Elvis AND the projection of his own style makes you a DeanZ fan - perid.
Look, there's so many of these dean Z type guys. They can move, sure; they can sing, kinda; but they never win comps because there are so many young guys that master this era! They're littered around Memphis - world-wide. But their life-span is very brief. many can't bridge the early years AND the energetic early 70's years. dean z is good, but a whole show can draaaaaaaaaaaaag on. I've seen two, and he's the same each time: o.k.
Yes, there lots of the DeanZ types out there but NONE as GOOD as DEAN!!!!!! I see the show about eight times a week and each time Dean is FANTASTIC!!!!!!
You obviously have never been to Dean's website and read is biography and seen how many awards this young man has won and there is NOTHING that drags on about this show!!!!
For an Elvis impersonator, he's great. Although the talking during the song is kinda irritating, he (Elvis, that is) didn't do that till later on in his career (68 comeback special anyone?). But hey, the cat sings great and definitely looks the part.
I've done the sound production for a few Elvis type impersonators and this guy is the best at what he does. He works the crowd, moves very well and he can accually sing without any help from digital effects.
You are so right soundnlights, Dean has the audience in the palm of his hand and always knows how to respond, he is so unbelieveably talented!!! a marvelous young man.
I brought Dean to Australia for the June 2007 Wintersun Festival - Until I saw Dean in action I was `all Elvis`d out`now I am re-inspired - No Scarves - no karate kicks - no jumpsuits - just Elvis at his `56 best. Dean, you Rock!! Matman, Matman Promotions Australia.

People get him mixed up with Dean Vegas who I heard isn't good at all. Dean Z, on the other hand, is fantastic (this is coming from a huge Elvis fan). I hope I get a chance to see him in person. I live in PA..hope he appears somewhere in the Northeast..I'll be there with bells on!!! He is loaded with talent and I love watching him perform! **********
