Ah the joys of ones childhood :D sadly never got past 3-4 due to them dang eggplants but 10 or so years later with the thanks to save states i was able to beat the game with the help of my dad. Can't wait for the new 3DS game coming out soon

Great game... the vertical levels are a pure challenge. All the comments about how the game is bad are obviously players who weren't good enough.

I like to see how long I can keep the vertical scrolling going without stopping.

@Jugglebrosjr2 Kid Icarus is just a "name" for the game itself. It was inspired by the greek story of Icarus, whom's father and he escaped from a prison using wings made and held together by feathers and wax. Icarus flew up too high against his father's warning and fell to his death. The kid part is basically that Pit was a kid in the game and if you get a certain ending, he "grows up"

Thanks for posting this. Man, what a great childhood memory. Everything was just better back then. No Internet, so you had to subscribe to the magazine for cheats - but that made them all the more special. This game came out the same day as Metroid. I got them both and spent many hours playing them (and now watching 24 years later on YouTube. Awesome. 5 stars.

Here's what irritates and conflicts me at the same time. They remade "A Boy And His Blob" I loved that game in the NES days. But it's a vague game.  You ask people about it and they don't know about the NES one. Not many do that is. But they remake it.
