I am always wandering, what is the genesis of the fact, that most people recognise turkish army with light units. They were one of the only eastern people with heavy cavarly, heavy in armour and in purpose. The other thing, why the hell everyone is showing tatars as the represantiation of turks. Anatolian architecture was inspired by syrian and armenian architecture. The majority of architects was christian armenians.

Seljuks didn't created nothin new, they only used and merged all the different artistic styles of the nations conquered (persian, arab, armenian, syrian, byzantine).

The best thinkers in seljuks period were persian philosophers.

One the most influent figures during golden period was a persian: Nizam al Mulk.

Seljuks were only good warriors.
