turbos have wastegates already, a bov is a boost eater and dosnt give your car any kind of power, although if your waste gate on your turbo malfunctions a bov could save your turbos life.

elle permet de supprimer la surpression etablie par le turbo dans l'intercooler.

cette suppression evacuée, le turbo peut repartir plus rapidement et donc : la dup valve diminue le temps de réponse du turbo ;)

La Dump Valve a pour rôle:

- Éviter la casse du turbo

-Maintenir la pression du turbo lors du changement des vitesses

-Réduire considérablement les trous pendant l'accélération

-Et également d'obtenir une sonorité +- comme celle des voitures WRC ^^

releases the air pressure in the boost hoses between gear change or revs to stop too much pressure hitting the turbo wen the throttle is back on...some people say it benefits power and some people say it takes power...depends what car it goes on in my opinion, :) hope i have helped

Well that is bullshit.

WITHOUT dumb valve swings slows down alot and even stops cause air pressure brakes them, which reduces life of turbo and causes higher delay for turbo to start spinning again.

WITH dumb valve the overpressure is taken away when it's not needed and wings of turbo will continuesly rotate high speed and they are already spinning to make pressure to engine and the delay of turbo starting chargin becomes smaller.

@RedGiimp to say it simple, it's were the air from the turbo comes out. the turbo makes a high pressure, and when you let your foot off the throttle, the high pressured air let's out through the dump valve.

@RedGiimp it mostly helps a turbo out by releasing air quicker when shifting gears as well when you take your foot off the gas giving it less stress to your turbo. so mostly... it just helps your turbo last longer.
