4.3's are cool motors... got 266 intake 270 exhaust and lift is .334 on mine. Next comes stronger internals and P1SC on 14psi. Any one know of any builds like that around?

@01xvortec Yes it is all better than stock.... it is a cam made for a centrifugal supercharger and computer control while still being DEQ passable for daily driving.... most ppl cant even pass an drive around illeagally and some people go over board with there cams... ...Im going to add some roller rocker to get better lift though as well.

i was talkin bout the LQ9 motor man my dads got one but yeah i do agree the 5.3 would be tougher for every day work stuff and u can modify it pretty easily the 6.0VHO is pure speed no work the 5.3 has spunk and can work for 300,000 miles my buddy has one that just hit 300k my dodge jus tipped 108k not one prob but i still have a ways to go to catch up with my boys chevy...miles dont matter as long as u maintain it well itll stay virtually brand new for as long as u take care of it

5.3's are for work and 6.0's are for heavy work. All the 6.0's will out pull the 5.3's. It's called having torque.

hey man is there any potential for my gf's 06 silverado 4.3L V6 its mostly show but she wants to make it fast would it be cheaper to drop a 5.3 or 6.0HO in it

trade it in for a 5.3 or 6.0L. There are so many electronics in these trucks, and there are so many variables. However it is doable with a lot of time and money. Find a 5.3L donor truck, or order an engine off of GM performance parts. Both options would run you well into the $10,000.00 price range.

make a TT kit for it, or by a supercharger. Building your own Twin or even single turbo is easier, or buy a supercharger from vortech or something.

newer engines vs older engines, also more electronics are dealt with today. My Ideal would be to have my 4.3 Tuned out (Blower-2003 Sierra) or Drop in a 350 Ramjet.
