I have a friend who lives here, I was there last year for prox 6 days. (also visited Belgium + the dam as u should it's so close by!) But it's an amazing city, loved it. I'm heading back over the 26th of this month. I can't wait :D

Aachen definitly is a German city worth seeing. Also recommendable: the first league formation dance team. Check "TSZ Aachen".

Well, the Brandenburg - which you see as first pictue - ist definately not in Aachen, but in Berlin. The video is lovely, but Aachen offers more than the Cathedral, Puppenbrunnen, Muensterplatz and Elisenbrunnen. Come back and discover more.

I just wanted to avoid expectations of other people to see Brandenburg Gate in Aachen. We still have two old town gates - Ponttor and Marschiertor as you certainly know - but they have been real town gates for defending the town and so they look very different from Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.

You lived at the Westbahnhof, have you been student?

I was here too about 5 hours ago with a school trip.its a nice place.but some punks tryed to attack me and my friends lol,but we owned them.

Ach ja, ich erinnere mich. Dort gibt es leckeres Bitburger vom Fass. Der "Hof" vor dem Domkeller ist der gemütlichste Platz von Aachen gewesen, wahrscheinlich immer noch. Gibt es auch neue Clubs im AC-Zentrum, wo man danach noch abhängen könnte? Ende September komme ich mit zwei Kollegen nach Aachen. Ich habe fest vorgenommen die Nacht durchzumachen :-)

Westbahnhof ist gelegentlich ganz nett, B9 hat zwar renoviert, is aber noch nicht wirklich besser geworden... Im Café Madrid ist Mittwochs immer viel los, ansonsten ist das Apollo direkt daneben ein schöner Studentenladen. Eigtl. kann man mit der Pontstraße nicht viel falsch machen. Das Sausalitos am Markt ist so wie das in jeder anderen Stadt auch. Dann gibts mit dem Lennet Kann de schöne Salsa-Bar in der oberen Pontstraße beim Egmonts etc...

Aachen ist wirklich die schönste Stadt die ich bisher gesehen habe. Ich lebe hier seit meiner Geburt, und ich habe auch nicht vor hier weg zu gehn.

Real nice video! It waked up all the memories i had in AC! I ve studied in AC from 98-05 and it was the best time of my life (until now). The city is phantasmagoric! I still visit AC a couple of times each year! Sometimes on some weekends im dj @ Molke. I also used to be dj @Domkeller and @Tangente.

I miss AC so much!

Also, ich habe in den 90ern in Aachen studiert und habe die Stadt bis auf die Dom- und Rathausecke eher als "abgefuckt" empfunden. Die massiven Studentenbesäufnisse machten natürlich auch mal Spass, aber ab und zu ein bisschen mehr Anspruch sollte man doch haben. Wir sind damals dann auch recht häufig nach internationalen Studentparties in Luxembourg und Maastricht gefahren, das war einfach eine andere Liga. Aber vielleicht hat sich auch in Aachen einiges gebessert.
