Once he realized where he was at, he whistled at 0:45. In the last game, Tidus told Yuna to whistle if she needed him and she has whistled a few times in both games. Lulu and Wakka remember that signal (from the 1st journey) and that's how all the people got to the beach. Plus, that huge giant airship made a loud enough sound too.

@trimiynchan you have to get I think 100% completion in order to get the happy ending. you must do all hotspot missions and get crimson spheres etc to complete this whole game. I never finished actually, I got to 82% and quit xD for more info go to ffinsider[dot]net

@RpgDreamers For this ending you only need to fufill some requirements, percentage is not a factor, you need 100% for the zanarkand ending.

Sorry again, I clicked the remove button instead of reply. to whoever asked how tidus came back.. he came back once you complete the ffx-2 game with 100%, after yuna beats shuyin, in the farplane you need to press X and the fayth will appear and allow you to bring tidus back.
