Nancy Walker who by then was a popular actress and departed Rhoda and tried her hand as a lead actress in her own show -- Blanksky's Beauties and the Nancy Walker show -- both had limited runs and were cancelled. After the 1976-77 season, Nancy Walker returned to Rhoda.

Did Pat Morita play Arnold on both shows? If Happy Days (at this time) took place in the 50s, and this show was obviously set in 70s Las Vegas -- how is this possible?

February to March of 1977. It didn't have many episodes to air. Scott and Lynda did have two other Gary Marshall shows in 1977 that were all aired in Semptember, Who's Watching The Kids? And Happy Days.

What was the timeline? This show ran in 1977.... When did Scott & Lynda join Happy Days.... I remember this show, and "The Nancy Walker Show" with the gay man. She was a classic actress...always remembered as " Ida" and "Rosie"

They kind of used Nancy Walker's special guest spot on a Happy Days episode and that's how the spin-off was conceived.

I don't remember this as a spin-off? I thought Gary Marshal just recycled actors he liked in all his shows. After this show bombed, a few of the actors went to Happy Days.

I thought this was supposed to be 70s Las Vegas - the music, fashion, hair and styling screams 70s!

Either way, I remember the theme song, vaguely!

Well Nancy Walker could do no wrong. By the way, this was a replacement for the superior The Nancy Walker Show which had this same time slot but was cancelled. Nancy had a contract guarantee for a series so this Blansky's Beauty crap was the fulfillment of that.

The Nancy Walker Show was racy-had a gay man as a series regular and had a wonderul theme song, sung by Ms. Walker. Now if THAT show popped up on youtube, I'd be utterly amazed.

You could see the two future Happy Days cast members like Scott Baio(Chachi) and Lynda Goodfriend(Lori Beth) playing different characters on this spin-off.
