  • nice tone man, I dig!

  • nice man but u should play more louder!!!

  • oooh what a fucking deep sound of that bass

  • aww dude you even play like john. good work :)

  • nice thunderbird but it must be hard to play such a big bass my hofners small

  • Bass players and Rhythm guitarists are supposed to look like they both wanna be at the bar instead of playing on stage...

  • The strings are flat or round?

  • @MrFeDePoWa

    Those are Roundwounds.

  • is that a epiphone? why do you play so close to the neck? if that is a epiphone, how do you feel about the way the bass dives?

  • @Chad82097

    This was an Epi T-bird.

  • Very good

    Thunderbird rules!

  • Love this song, love this bass. ! =)

  • OMG what a bass.....fuckin' rock n roll.nothing else to say. well, you're pretty good man!:)

  • Hey man, nice cover, what amp do u use? i'm gonna try get my T bird to sound like that :D

  • @arran8910

I believe this was a Bassman 10 amp

  • prutser lol

  • finally a kid with good taste in music. keep rockin

  • Make your face easier)

  • @bassgod2271

i'm really excited to c your basstechnique man. F

  • what's the word, thunderbird?

  • @PedobearMansion Best. TV Show. Ever. Thats what.

  • thats a nice tone lol

  • YOU ARE REALLY GOOD! ^_^

  • thank you!

  • You Rock!!!! ;)

  • i got that, thunderbird.

  • u got an nice bass sound there man, I own myself an Thunderbird gothic bass.

    nice man! keep going!

  • Thanks! Cheers man!

  • @Davorii heyy got the IV thunderbird. Any diffrent in sound of goth and IV or just another designe/color?

  • @ei99AA I think the Sound Is pretty much the Same. Pretty Rough and hard. The design Is completely different. I mean the color. Gothic Black no Inlays no Bird on the plate. Passive humbuckers. The 3,5clink Is on the bass Not on the Side. And on the Gothic Vers. There Are only 3 switches instead of 4 on the TB Pro IV. I think the Sound of an epiphone Gothic IV and an epiphone TB pro IV Is a Little different. In Case i think the pro Is aktive. The goth Is just Design.

  • bass players are supposed to be the most chill players on the stage

  • Just take a look at John Entwistle!

  • that's so strange...because the bassist for Def Leppard, is like, the most energetic!! lol...

  • @dLema1 U know what i will aggree with you, Gene Simmons is a genious bass player, come on bring ur thumbs down, but Kiss is awesome, so is Gene.

  • lol, Gene Simmons and KISS both suck ass

  • Oh really. Well what is your opinion of a great band and bass player?

  • WRONG!

  • @eikogo or flea he's having a psychadelic trip in his own world just slamming on that bass as hard and fast as he can and he fits in with the band well eh?

  • @eikogo who told you that? have you never seen Flea perform?!

  • @eikogo Last time I checked Steve Harris isn't chill

  • music is not about ur good looking or how much u can move your ass

  • john entwistle stayed still and didnt jump around like a dick head, he stood there and ooked the boloxx!

  • @curzonator i agree the only person who can jump around is flea

  • As I already said... just part of the act. When I play live I play totally different and that's where I am jumping around like a complete moron ;)

Maybe sometime I'll post some live-vids!

  • >.> as long as you do us bass players proud

  • Where are youre vids btw?

  • well see im not like most bass player who care to play others songs not how i learned i learned by playing my own stuff and i dont know if you know but its never really smart to put your own shit up on a place where any one can take it and clame it now is it

  • john entwistle didn't do shit when he played this.

  • nice playin dude

  • It's all part of the act!

  • all i have to say is, john entwistle bitch. john entwistle.

  • john entwistle doesnt move and doesnt do anything. u dont have to "feel" the music as long as you can play it. id rather have some boring kid playing good bass than some energetic kid sucking at it

  • that is a lush bass man, is it a real thunderbird? i was gunna get one in america, for the equivalent of£399 last year,

  • Nope.. this was an epi... got a real rickenbacker now.. check out my other vids.... that's the real deal you know ;-)

  • your next task is to learn John's "5:15" solo from the royal albert hall! haha... best bass solo of ALL time... :) great cover here, though, mate!

  • lol!

  • Hmm....You shouldn't just copy john's way of playin. Make your own, be creative.

    But then again great cover.

  • is this off of the 3-disc Live at the RAH set? I have this track in my room if it is!

  • By the way, I think "ol' Thunderfingers" would be proud if he saw this.

    Cheers=)

  • Yes it is!

  • ...moscio vecchio...moscio.

  • I WANT THAT BASS!!!

    ThUnDeRBIIiiIiiIRD ç_ç

  • what a nice bass....!!!!

  • you even got his expression down too. haha good work

  • too bad I don't share his hair color :)

  • How much did your bird cost ya?

  • hey man, how do you like your t-bird? You have the same bass i'm saving for right now.

  • hey man what string brand are you using on your T?

  • At the time I made this video, I was using Elixirs (45-105), but now I use Rotosounds Swing Bass (45-105), for a more twangy sound!

  • wow really? i have mine strung with rotos as well, and they dont sound as good as yours,i mean they do sound good, but not so much compared to yours

  • Well actually I think it's not the strings that define the sound in this video. It's my Hartke VXL Bass Attack pedal. I have my equalizer set in a kind of 'smiley' (low and high frequencies boosted). The settings on my guitar are: neck pickup 1/3 open, bridge and tone full open! That will do i think! just try!

  • i have the same bass in red but if i where getting roto sounds ide get the 45-95 not 45-105 .I think its 45-95 im not sure if its 45 but i know the e string is a 95. But i hade 105s b4 and they were good strings but i bought 95s a couple days ago and they are so much easyer to play on their much faster and if your play for aloong period of time it hurts yout finger less.

  • weres the atitude, good work

  • Have you ever seen John Entwistle?

  • proper playing :) really

But i don't like the sound of the bass, it is a matter of your preferences, but i like rather moree trebly-entwistly sound ;]

  • Yeah I know... I like that too.. and my 'live sound' is more like that, but you know it's very hard to capture your live sound! And btw.. I now use another effects pedal in order to create the even more trebly Entwistle sound!

    thanks for your message though!

  • i have the same bass

  • Pretty fancy basswork.

  • I saw you said you use the bass attack, do you got a hartke hydrive? Or does that function come on other hartkes?

  • That's right.. I do use hartke bass attack, but it's actually a sort of effects pedal. I use it to boost up the high and low frequencies just to add a bit more body to my sound (more JAE-like)... But actually, the amp I used in this vid was a Fender Bassman 10. My own amp is a Hartke HA3500 with 4,5XL cab. So, no hydrive speakers for me!

  • it sounds fuzzy probably because of the camera but consider silencing the other string with your thumb itll help out block the fuzzy sounds...other than that great job kickass cover

  • wow i have the same bass and i never noticed how freakin long it was lol

  • Try going from playing the epiphone SG short scale to this pig!

  • I'm pretty sure that the thunderbird is 34" scale. That's pretty much standard. I have two fenders and a Warwick and all three are 34". The SG is 30" if I'm not mistaken. I played an SG bass once and it felt like a toy.

  • sweet fucking job dude nice to see someone who knows what there fucking doing, haha

    keep rockin brother!

  • and it plays damn good!!

  • because not using his pinky finger is obviously making this a terrible cover. dont listen to those fuckers, it sounds bad ass.

  • pinky finger, it was a typo rtard

  • Your tining is off... try using a metronome. And your pinky should play a part in the song, it looks bad just hanging there.. its like JPJ's three finger playing.

  • Yeah, no one would want to play like john paul jones...... ;-0

  • i think john paul jones is amazing lol wat do u mean

  • i think hes saying who would wanna play like jpj when you can play like the ox...... well at least try to...

  • Pinkie finger

  • Great cover, very crushing tone. I'm going to get me an Epiphone Thunderbird once I have enough money.

  • what are your knobs set at for the thunderbird?

  • ooh! tricky one.. it's been a while you know! i believe it was volume 1/3 open, volume 1/1 open and tone 1/1 open. i also used a Hartke Bass Attack to boost both the high and low-end frequencies.

  • Use your inky finger!

Looks are also important, if you play just using your middle and index it looks like some sort of claw =S

  • amazing!!!

  • hey do,s your thungerbird nose dive on you?i have one when i let go of the neck down it go.s

  • many basses do that because the neck is usually heavier than the body

  • everything is very big and heavy on that bass. i dont mind it though

  • Nice going man, you're really good.

You should practice on slamming hard with your fingers.

  • Well, I recorded this song directly into my computer. I used my amplifier as a monitor and I slammed really hard, but my computer can't cope with the high amplitudes of the hard slamming (otherwise you get crackling noises)...

  • turn down the amp then!

It's a good cover, but with that quality you're not doing it justice!
