We 70's kids enjoyed many new innovations in food products--Pringle's, Nutter Butters, Bugles, and Orville Redenbacher's popcorn...but only he became the icon for his own product. Gotta love that bowtie and turn of the 20th century look he had and that strong voice at the beginning of the ad, "I'm Orville Redenbacher, and I'm here to tell you about my gourmet popping corn."
I'd like to know how bad popcorn was before Orville. Cause there just amazed how good it is. We take it for granted now.

1:41 - 2:15 - Well, Orville was right about two things in his commericals:
1. His gourmet popping corn pops so much, it blows the lid right off the popper.
and
2. It pops lighter and fluffier than other corns.
