I read a book called Moses and Ahkhenaten by Ahmed Osman a couple of years ago and it had me wondering whether Tell Al Amarna was left standing after the priests had their way and tried ot destroy what Akhenaten believed in. Thanks! It's interesting to see that some ruins at least..remain.
