Try mixing on a tarp next time... much, much easier! (larger amounts as well) You may want to check out our video on mixing your items together... if you want to of course. -Randy
Cardboard boxes are useful for so many things. I love being in my greenhouse. It's like your own private world and no one can get to you. You can be left in peace and quiet. I hope that someone bought you lots of cups of tea with all that hard digging.
@cfenster I agree, that mention by Donald was pretty special. I've come a long ways ! ;-) Ya might need to cut back on the peppers a bit, LOL. No sense having a sauce that ya can't eat. I get the growbags from discount - hydro dot com. Never had any trouble with those folks.
@bradgray51 Yeah Brad, I don't normally plant in raised beds but the success that people like yourself have demonstrated make it impossible to ignore. I use containers every year but this is a first for me with the raised bed!
@dalecalder2003 I can work around a few early frosts with heaters in the greenhouse but when it gets really cold for long stretches I'll loose the summer plants.
Good job! Your plastic for you gh looks different than mine, where did you get yours. I took out my little raised bed I had. Thought if I wanted to plant things I would do it containers, but I think you grow on a bigger level then me for veggies. Can't wait to see your veggies growing.
@HoschtonBoy Everything that I am planting will survive in the greenhouse until it is ready to harvest. Unless temps dive well below freezing before it normally does I'll even have tomato's and peppers till mid November! I can heat my greenhouse to an extent with two electric heaters if it drops below freezing for a night or two. I normally just drape another large tarp over the greenhouse to help insulate it at night.

@clairesallotment I agree that it's a great place to go when you need some space from the crazy world that we live in today!
Nobody was at home to fetch me tea or anything while I was working on that bed! Daniel would have brought me something had he been there though!

@cfenster What a good lad he is. May be you could take a flask of tea, and a packet of biscuits. If I did that, I'd never get any work done.

Thats pretty cool Chuck. Whatever it takes to extend the season. Its surprising just how many bags it takes to fill a bed or containers.

@mhpgardener I agree on both counts.. I spend lots of money on soil and organic material every year since our soil here is so poor!
Hey... kudos on the recognition from the big guy on the bayou! Donald really tooted the Virginia boy's horn this month! IMHO that is a real honor!
BTW... Those "Red Hot Cherry Bombs" make the hot sauce almost too hot! :)
Where do you get your grow bags? I cant find them around here?

I was thinking the same thing when I saw your video. Mine does say Partial Shade on the box...I didn't know it when I bought it though!

What crop do you think you will harvest before freezing temps hit your area?
