If Driscoll was as great as you all say he is, he would be able to catch that ball and run over the italian, wriggle his way out of the spear tackle (ireland have been crying about) do a backflip whilst in the air, land on his feet and play on like hes the greatest centre in the world...maybe soccer is his game?? haha cummon driscoll fans gimme your best shot, NZ for World Cup!
@brownpooz Yeah, that soccer player o'driscoll, the pussy consciously choose to dislocate his shoulder after Tana just gave him a soft, upside down tackle, onto his head.
@brownpooz Yeah your right, it should be in every sports manual to get chucked upside down on your head, break your collar bone in two places - risk death or paralisation by being chucked head first into the ground.
@dadubs93 thats all the risks you take if you want to play rugby, give him thumbs up for recovering and getting back into the game, other than that compared to likes of Matt Giteau, Tony O'Reilly, Gwyn Nicholls, TANA UMAGA, Stirling Mortock just to name a few, ODriscoll falls short, he's good...but not great.
@brownpooz Put them in whatever list you want. BOD's the only one on the top 10 RU try scorers list of all time. And unlike a few players on that list he did it against improved professional era defence's - not flimsy amateur era ones where i could of scored a few thousand trys.
@dadubs93 haha ok? When Ireland can beat the all blacks then come talk to me, i mean when not even the Lions could beat some of our provincial teams in the lions tour with all your best players?? outta your league mate. haha goodbye muppet maybe BOD will let you kiss his rear end personally. its been fun, maybe we can argue on another page.
@brownpooz Yep the All Blacks are good. Don't see how that should make you cocky, the group of individuals on the pitch are fantastic i respect them, not so much idiots on youtube who claim to be rugby fans.
Be honest, have you actually ever gone to a rugby game, do you even know what rugby fans act like at rugby games - Sure you haven't gotten lost off a football video? You're a 'Brownpooz' / stain on the rest of all the other NZ rugby fans I know anyway.
@brownpooz yet ye haven't won the world cup in 20 plus years. rugby is NZ national sport yet it is 4th choice in ireland and we're still one of the top sides in the world. As for you sticking up for umaga then ur making urself out to be a complete and utter clown.
@hmacm88 mate it doesnt matter if rugby's 4th choice or 20th choice, it all comes down to how bad you want it and how good you want to become, so what if we havnt won the world cup in a while? Atleast we've won a world cup, Ireland have only ever made it to the quarter finals. As for Umaga if you really think he'd hurt someone on the field on purpose then you really must be an asshole, he's a professional player, accidents happen in contact sports, it was reckless but it was an accident.
@brownpooz i think you'll find i never said ireland were brilliant, i said they are punching above there weight when you consider the population of the country and where rugby ranks compared to other sports in ireland...as for umaga, tell me wat he trying to do? the ball had left the ruck!! so he wit the help of mealamu lifted the player in the air and then forcefully threw him to the ground, head first.. looks like an accident all right..
@hmacm88 i think you'll find that i never said Ireland were brilliant either, and yeah it does look like an accident thanks for agreeing with me. haha.
@brownpooz fucking faggot haha, you have fun in your conceited little upside down country trolling on youtube, and let us know when you're happy in life
Tim Horan said if he was to play inside any centre it would be BOD, the 2nd centre he has seen in his lifetime. I can only imagine how ludicrously good that partnership would be.
bod. is a pretty good player - no more. i feel he is one of the most overrated player of recent times though. when he gets smashed like this, i just love it. i almost hope doesnt get up, i know its a shitty attitude but struth! i suppose its like a beckham hatred; we just need the world to see that he is a crybaby fag. i mean, he wont have a beer with the opposition when he loses - what a twat! & he whinged for 4 years about the Lions tour to NZ, now he will fuckin have a sook about the boks!
no. not really. i like the irish team & i like the fact there are more contenders in the game these days. better for rugby. irish are good 'footballers' with great skills. Boks are gonna lose every so often. but jesus christ, BOD never stops complaining, thnks hes the shit ( even though hes been outshone by various centres over the last decade) + hes the player always starting the 'bad blood' in any game. Whenever he loses, he never acknowledges the victors, only moans about how hes lost. twat.
Nah he won't, he'll just nail one of yr pussy players with a great tackle in the last play to win the game for Ireland.
Loved how yr gay little players ran off the pitch without shaking anyone's hand. Typical of the country they come from though .. bunch of whining cheats.
im very glad for him & ireland; pity he will never taste victory in a Lions jersey; that will eat him like cancer.... cunt.
i like the way you can generalize about an entire nation; haha - you fucking nazi! you probably hate the English, hate 'foreigners', hate certain religious groups. For me, a team a watch while i drink at the pub lost. For you, it seems to symbolize so much more - an identity? im sorry my friend. Dont generalize, makes you look stupid.
I'm Italian and I'm a rugby ref. This was a massive hit, but, sory for Bergamasco, a rather incorrect tackle as far as rugby union is concerned. First of all, he is in a plane landing position, clearly trying to make BOD 'o'erleap himself and fall on the otherside' as Shakespeare would say, an finally it cannot be a proper rugby union tackle if Mauro is not even trying to close his arms around BOD body. He should have been binned for this.
hey! & we fucking owned the Lions in the lineouts!!!!!!
just drop it now, you're embarrassing yourself.
1 point to ponder b4 i say goodbye: if we were to have a 'tri-nations Lions' team every 4 years, we would fucking mince you guys! you know it! We all enjoy the rivalry & tradition of the Lions; it takes 4 British international teams combined to muster a challenge & still fail. Just the fact they were considering this the final Lions tour highlight how futile yr challenge is. bye my friend
its 3 british nations and ireland, and im not a religious follower of the lions so ur hardly gonna piss me off. ye owned us in the lineout? not really. ye didnt own us over the whole series either, as i said ye were lucky. had any other player had the ball at that time other than gara than test 2 wud have been a lions victory. and im not so sure about lions tri nations, yed have quality players but they wunt be used to playing with each other.like d lions, the home nations always hav d advantage
I've actually had no real problem with what you've said previously but i would emplore you to understand that by no means do the people of NH consider the Lions our best chance to 'muster a challenge'. The Lions is just our own way of pleasing our curiosity of what a team with our four countries best would look like. As far as ur other comments go , you're right SA have dominated in recent times and we have no bragging rights till we win in SA, but it is history and it is old news
da only reason da lions doesnt do well is cuz they have to get 40 players and at least 10 staff who hav never worked together to work together 4 a few weeks bfore da tour, dey get barely any time to prepare. if a lions team were chosen a year bfore da tour and stayed as a team until da tour dey would beat NZ or SA easily(THIS IS MY OPINION)
And yet South Africa lost to Saracens and Leicster, two teams that are a fraction of one part of those British Teams.
As I am Irish I take offense to you saying 4 British teams, Ireland is not British, we are independent and have been since before South Africa I'll have you know.
We also beat your strongest team like 3 weeks ago.
it's clear you haven't played rugby at any decent level. The Barbarians have been full of tri-nations players on various occasions. The difficulty is playing a sport with complicated plays alongside players you're not used to. The level has been higher in the past from the SH but you have to admit it's levelling out
This is largely thanks to the SH killing the game themselves. Auss was the only SH side that tried to play all round rugby in 2009. When they beat the Boks, they first stuffed them in the pack and then ran riot with the backs, The Boks just strangled the other team with both Steyns (having Heinrich Brussow helped suffocating the other teams), and the AB dreamed of running around the Boks without confronting their pack.
@vinniechan - I agree, the Aus/ SA test was a cracker. But in my opinion the November France/All Black test was the most flowing of 2009. If you haven't seen it I reckon you should check it out.
Mate, my comment was made 7 months ago so y sledge based on the situation now? I'd definitely agree that the SH are the innovators of the game, and the biggest mistakes we make is that we try too hard to play catch up game rather that trying to find so we never have the edge. As for the S14, yes, you're guaranteed the quality of the plays, at the expense of player's preferring to ply trade overseas, (so far, only RSA has the scale of economy to more or less sustain)...
(former AB would even go to Japan to financially secured themselves at later stage of career, which says a lot), and the NH is a pretty much the free market model. (The Magners League pooled the thin resources of the Celtic Nations together, and after the Italians joined the party, it will be force in time, but not just yet). I'd reserve my judgement on the Top 14 and the Premiership later. But yeah, England is under gross mismanagement and France is still a wild card as ever.
and believe me, as an England fan, I struggler to come to terms with the idiots in the RFU. I mean, I won't call the upcoming players "talents" but they're promising non the less. You the media got into the habit of building somebody up and completely knocks him down at the first sign of failure. The management just drop them after 1 bad game and I wonder y our best 12 is a kiwi.
@vinniechan yeah i think your pretty much on the money. The australian media establishment is very bad with its magement of players, though the ARU is not much better
I don't think the ARU has done that badly given the circumstance to be fair. With their union struggling to compete for athletes with other sports and so far they have made do magnificently with the pool they have. (Compared to the entire NZ that walk and breathe rugby, and those who do play the game in SA are die hard fanatics).
This is largely thanks to the SH killing the game themselves. Auss was the only SH side that tried to play all round rugby in 2009. When they beat the Boks, they first stuffed them in the pack and then ran riot with the backs, The Boks just strangled the other team with both Steyns (and Heinrich Brussow forced other teams to kick, but u're not gonna find a bigger boot than F Steyn on earth), and the AB dreamed of running around the Boks without confronting their pack.
if you want to talk about overrated players, look no further than your very own bryan habana. infact, yer whole team is so overrated, ye wer elucky to in the lions tour, had a shit autumn international tour, and then brian o driscols ireland side beat ye to finish off yer season. if u think BOD is overrated your an idiot, typical southern hemisphere fans, ye never give northern players or teams the respct they deserve. bod wud walk onto any team on the planet. hes a truly special player.
hey man, youre probably right! BOD would walk into most teams. but is he versatile like horan? unstoppable like gerber? i did say he was good! i feel he is glorified without reason. lucky? lol. teams are only lucky when they are good & prepared. boks won world cup / tri nations / super 14 / lions! all within 18 months! lucky maybe! until Ireland win IN sa, you have no argument. 100 years of whipping you lot speak volumes! but hey, i agree Habana is lucky! but he has won a WC & a Lions tour...
versatile? i wudnt bet against bod being effective out on the wings or even as an out half. unstoppable? at times, he is yes. and yes SA were lucky, o gara pretty much handed ye the series. whenever ive seen SA play i havent been impressed at all. of course i have an arguement, ireland have beaten sa the last 2 or 3 times they played.
some stats: played 19. sa have won 14. ireland have won 4. drawn 1. the irish have done well to win 3 in a row IN Dublin. the boks still have a 58% win ratio in ireland. the irish have a 100% (i said 100 percent ) loss ratio in sa. thats 100% losses for ireland. there is no argument my friend. but kudos to your team, playing some good rugby these days. whether it wins them a world cup or a Lions tour is another story; my money is on them folding when it really matters. no bias. truth. cheers.
wel youve to go back 5 years to when sa last beat ireland, whether its in dublin or sa is irrelevant, if ye were true world champions yed be able to put any team away whereever d game is on, especially a team of a lower ranking. ireland were far more impressive than sa in their last encounter. and il say again, ye were extremely lucky to win the lions tour.
ok mate. you're right, i am wrong. but i do believe all the whingeing about how 'lucky' the boks were to beat the Lions stems from bitterness; its hard to come so close and lose. it was a great series, one of the best in recent memory. but moments of brilliance separated the 2, Fouries try, Steyns kicking. could have gone either way! but it didnt. why cant people just appreciate good rugby. there has always got to be a fucking cry & sook about from you guys over there! bro, im done here now. bye
did you even watch the tour? sa wer not convincing at al, firstly ye wer lucky dat jerry flannery nd tomas o leary got injured before d tour, and EXTREMELY luck that stephen ferris got injured before d test games.ya won d 2nd test by d skin of yer teeth, tanks to a huge fuck up by ronan ogara, until den it was 25-25. then the lions killed ye in d last game nd yes i no ye made changes but so did d lions since BOD nd jamie roberts wer injured during d 2nd test, theyr partnership was deadly.
did you watch?? the first test was won by half-time, the lions were 'allowed' into the game by Bok laziness. 2nd test: a brilliant match whatever the outcome. if you dont agree, then you must go watch some silly Gaelic football or something colloquial. O'gara only made a 'huge fuck up' because the cunt was concussed, Spies ran over him; he took an age to get up. Once he was up, Fourie used him as a doormat for a great try! The Lions won the final match but the series was over... face the truth.
I think any side in the top 5 can beat any other side so it's good for us to watch a game say Ireland vs RSA from a neutral perspective (tho being an England supporter, I'm inclinced the cheer for Ireland).
The only thing that's stopping the Irish from beating the AB IMH is a huge psychological barrier (and bringing some young front rows up to speed will help ur cause).
@vinniechan that's exactly it. we lack the staminia that the AB have.. we need to put on the few younger players to keep the game alive.. andrew trimble, tommy bowe, all those players. and just keep up the attack..
u have contradicted urself in the space of 2 lines. ''i hope sum day he doesnt get up'' dat means he always fucking gets up so how is he a cry baby fag. not havn a beer with opposition doesnt make u a fag. sum cunt
well its a real shame that italy are complete shite, and that brian o'driscoll was the worlds best player, name me one italian player who can even be said to be in the same league as o'driscoll?
Yeah you're right. I mean, whats he won this year, cept for the Grand Slam, the Heineken cup and been one of the outstanding players on the Lions tour. And look at his career, I mean pushing 40 test tries, international defences just hand them out for free. Plus, that try against Australia in 2001 (the best defence in the world at the time) and that hat-trick in Paris, my granny would have scored them.
If only Ireland were as good as Italy and needed to steal mediocre Australians.....Twat.
Yes, he HAS won these things. At what point did I say single-handedly? Its fairly common to talk about individual players in terms of the competitions they have won, if you don't understand the meaning conveyed in this fairly simple phrase, perhaps you should get some lessons in rudimentary English. Anyway, I'm guessing from your poor attempt to argue this on semantics, that you can't actually back up your incredibly well thought out, and eloquent claim below with anything to do with rugby.
Now your just contradicting your self TWAT. Next time "he" wins anything at senior level rugby (involving any of the big 4 teams ) let me know. And I'm not talking of a 1 off game.
Then what are you talking about? By the way Ireland is one of the Big 4 Teams considering we're 4th on the World Rankings. He's beaten every team except New Zealand whick Ireland as a Country has never achieved. BOD is the Highest try Scoring Centre in Rugby History I wouldn't say he's overated.
@pencilbuck Brian O'Driscoll is the best centre in the world & the best all round player there has ever been, he is outrageously good, you're just jealous that we have him.
Oh he deliberately up-ended him and dumped him on his head! forever more I will hate Il Azzurri and all things Italian, the big sheep shaggers. It's plain to see he was taken out. If we lose the Lions series it will be because of this. Rough play against BOD is a cardinal sin, thank go Italy didn't win the Rugby world cup!
Do I know you pricksuck? shut your mouth its called an observation and an opinion. You don't like something not directed towards you or anyone else shows what a sad little faggot you are. Now drop dead fuckwit
Sorry to dissappoint you there little boy I'm slightly over six feet and weigh about 97kgs. I think it is you who have the armchair antics. I believe it was a legit tackle . So Grow up shit for brains lump it or take it boy
It's highly illegal. hitting low, lifting up,, no attempt to bring the man down again, no attempt to wrap the man with arms initialy. sin bin. check the rules. Btw BOD is one of the world's best. Like to see you do better before you write stuff like that.
did the Referee direct the player to the sin bin ?no- therefore it has no bearing in the game's outcome . All the armchair referees can state whatever they like- I'm simply stating I liked the hit. As for BOD thats your opinion enough said about it from me on here.
o'driscoll and nonu, best centres at the moment.

The management just drop them after 1 bad game and I wonder y our best 12 is a kiwi.
vinniechan 1 year ago
@vinniechan yeah i think your pretty much on the money. The australian media establishment is very bad with its magement of players, though the ARU is not much better
MatthewHolt11 1 year ago
@MatthewHolt11

When they beat the Boks, they first stuffed them in the pack and then ran riot with the backs, The Boks just strangled the other team with both Steyns (and Heinrich Brussow forced other teams to kick, but u're not gonna find a bigger boot than F Steyn on earth), and the AB dreamed of running around the Boks without confronting their pack.

if you want to talk about overrated players, look no further than your very own bryan habana. infact, yer whole team is so overrated, ye wer elucky to in the lions tour, had a shit autumn international tour, and then brian o driscols ireland side beat ye to finish off yer season. if u think BOD is overrated your an idiot, typical southern hemisphere fans, ye never give northern players or teams the respct they deserve. bod wud walk onto any team on the planet. hes a truly special player.
mustainerulesxx 2 years ago
hey man, youre probably right! 100 years of whipping you lot speak volumes! but hey, i agree Habana is lucky! but he has won a WC & a Lions tour...
fransmytube 2 years ago
versatile? i wudnt bet against bod being effective out on the wings or even as an out half. unstoppable? at times, he is yes. and yes SA were lucky, o gara pretty much handed ye the series. whenever ive seen SA play i havent been impressed at all. of course i have an arguement, ireland have beaten sa the last 2 or 3 times they played.
mustainerulesxx 2 years ago
some stats: played 19. sa have won 14. ireland have won 4. drawn 1. the irish have done well to win 3 in a row IN Dublin. the boks still have a 58% win ratio in ireland. the irish have a 100% (i said 100 percent ) loss ratio in sa. thats 100% losses for ireland. there is no argument my friend. but kudos to your team, playing some good rugby these days. whether it wins them a world cup or a Lions tour is another story; my money is on them folding when it really matters. no bias. truth. cheers.
fransmytube 2 years ago
wel youve to go back 5 years to when sa last beat ireland, whether its in dublin or sa is irrelevant, if ye were true world champions yed be able to put any team away whereever d game is on, especially a team of a lower ranking. ireland were far more impressive than sa in their last encounter. and il say again, ye were extremely lucky to win the lions tour.
mustainerulesxx 2 years ago
ok mate. you're right, i am wrong. but i do believe all the whingeing about how 'lucky' the boks were to beat the Lions stems from bitterness; its hard to come so close and lose. it was a great series, one of the best in recent memory. but moments of brilliance separated the 2, Fouries try, Steyns kicking. could have gone either way! but it didnt. why cant people just appreciate good rugby. there has always got to be a fucking cry & sook about from you guys over there! bro, im done here now. bye
fransmytube 2 years ago
did you even watch the tour? sa wer not convincing at al, firstly ye wer lucky dat jerry flannery nd tomas o leary got injured before d tour, and EXTREMELY luck that stephen ferris got injured before d test games.ya won d 2nd test by d skin of yer teeth, tanks to a huge fuck up by ronan ogara, until den it was 25-25. then the lions killed ye in d last game nd yes i no ye made changes but so did d lions since BOD nd jamie roberts wer injured during d 2nd test, theyr partnership was deadly.
mustainerulesxx 2 years ago
did you watch?? the first test was won by half-time, the lions were 'allowed' into the game by Bok laziness. The Lions won the final match but the series was over... face the truth.
fransmytube 2 years ago
I think any side in the top 5 can beat any other side so it's good for us to watch a game say Ireland vs RSA from a neutral perspective (tho being an England supporter, I'm inclinced the cheer for Ireland).
The only thing that's stopping the Irish from beating the AB IMH is a huge psychological barrier (and bringing some young front rows up to speed will help ur cause).
vinniechan 2 years ago
@vinniechan that's exactly it. we lack the staminia that the AB have.. we need to put on the few younger players to keep the game alive.. andrew trimble, tommy bowe, all those players. and just keep up the attack..

Not to say i dont agree with you but Sergio Parisse was like nominated for the 2008 player of the year
heshinator1 2 years ago
What are you talking about???? You can't just ask people to do the impossible????
chickenfillets74 2 years ago
Yeah you're right. I mean, whats he won this year, cept for the Grand Slam, the Heineken cup and been one of the outstanding players on the Lions tour. And look at his career, I mean pushing 40 test tries, international defences just hand them out for free. Plus, that try against Australia in 2001 (the best defence in the world at the time) and that hat-trick in Paris, my granny would have scored them.
If only Ireland were as good as Italy and needed to steal mediocre Australians.....Twat.

Wow he won the grand slam and the heineken cup, did not know one player could do that. There I was thinking rugby was a team sport... TWAT!
pencilbuck 2 years ago
Yes, he HAS won these things. At what point did I say single-handedly? Its fairly common to talk about individual players in terms of the competitions they have won, if you don't understand the meaning conveyed in this fairly simple phrase, perhaps you should get some lessons in rudimentary English. Anyway, I'm guessing from your poor attempt to argue this on semantics, that you can't actually back up your incredibly well thought out, and eloquent claim below with anything to do with rugby.
farz3450 2 years ago 3
Now your just contradicting your self TWAT. Next time "he" wins anything at senior level rugby (involving any of the big 4 teams ) let me know. And I'm not talking of a 1 off game.
pencilbuck 2 years ago
Then what are you talking about? By the way Ireland is one of the Big 4 Teams considering we're 4th on the World Rankings. He's beaten every team except New Zealand whick Ireland as a Country has never achieved. BOD is the Highest try Scoring Centre in Rugby History I wouldn't say he's overated.

@pencilbuck Brian O'Driscoll is the best centre in the world & the best all round player there has ever been, he is outrageously good, you're just jealous that we have him.
chubb123 10 months ago 2
Oh he deliberately up-ended him and dumped him on his head! forever more I will hate Il Azzurri and all things Italian, the big sheep shaggers. It's plain to see he was taken out. If we lose the Lions series it will be because of this. Rough play against BOD is a cardinal sin, thank go Italy didn't win the Rugby world cup!

niceguyblueeyes 2 years ago
It's highly illegal. hitting low, lifting up,, no attempt to bring the man down again, no attempt to wrap the man with arms initialy. sin bin. check the rules. Btw BOD is one of the world's best. Like to see you do better before you write stuff like that.
kkcat07 2 years ago
did the Referee direct the player to the sin bin ?no- therefore it has no bearing in the game's outcome . All the armchair referees can state whatever they like- I'm simply stating I liked the hit. As for BOD thats your opinion enough said about it from me on here.
