MSTS Railfanning: Episode 8

How do you get the cars to clickety clack like that? Most of my freight cars utilize the default sounds (which are a bit lacking). These certainly sound realistic!

I just used the number 4 view along with MSTS bin. But I don't remember what the changes were that I made.

that's the route I plan to show on episode 10. I'tll not be up until at least november. I have school stuff going on, mostly performances for my high school marching band. We just our 2009-2010 marching season last week. Don't worry though I plan to have episode 10 up around Thanksgiving.

I've tried it on one other route besides Donner Pass and it did the same thing.

I intend to. But I might have to reinstall MSTS first. I can't run the game with the wheather set to be snowing anymore for some strange reason. it crashes every time I try.

Frame rates are a little slow, but this is still one great video. Need to get that route myself!

very nice work, I like the way its set up like a Railroad DVD.

Only thing...lay off the whistle. The whistle should not be blowing 24/7 usuely the whistle is blown at crossings, bridges, and tunnels, not evrey five secends.

thanks, With my MSTS Railfanning series I strive for Quality, not just quantity. I do that with all of my videos. My apologies about the whistle. I just can't resist the urge to blow the whistle a lot. I'm a very big steam enthusiast. plus I tend to get horn happy (in this case whistle happy) when I run steam engines in MSTS. I'll try not to do that in the next episode. BTW if you want to request a route for me to feature on the show just PM me or name the route in a comment on this video.

Understandible...but it detracts from the realism as belive it or not....Railroaders can get reprimended for makeing "unwanted noise" with the whistle. espechilly in public areas and as whistles are really coded signels. So too much can make is hard to understand when the crew is trying to say something.

i hate how in msts that the steam wistles are sound delayed, like in the last train the steam shot out before the wistle even came on.
