@iBeep2009 Richard Galliano. He's incredible. Check out his rendition of "Libertango." He also played Edith Piaf tunes with Wynton Marsalis, amazing stuff.
I like how people are speaking for a dead guy... Haha this is the times now people! You cant be that good without having a sense of musicality and feeling! And consider also that Django was not really part of the bebop movement, so his style, unlike these fine musicians, was not so much influenced by that! Would Django play like this if he were around? Possibly! He would have been top pick for the bebop musicians and those who followed!
@aznminr123 Hey, I agree, lovely to watch isn't it! But it's called Rhythm, in this case Gypsy pump", and Rhythm is something which young guitarists of recent years have very little knowledge (if any). Everyone these days wants to play the solos and they go straight there via quick-learn note-by-note DVD lessons. But these guys have all earned their apprentaships the hard and real way, by learning and playing rhythm. And I love it!!!!!!!!!! Long Live Rhythm!
@swdp01 They use modern hand made Selmer Maccaferri copies, probably made by the likes of Rob Aylward (scotland), Killy Nonis (England), Leo Eimers (Netherlands) Shelley Park (Canada) and Maurice Dupont (France) Jacques & Jean Pierre Favino (France) etc. But if anyone is looking for a quality factory made Maccaferri copy go for a "Saga Gitane" instrument; affordable and very good quality.
yea man their not trying to top django at all,,, if so they'd be writing their own like,,, their just celebrating a fantastic tune,,, with their own AMASING interpretations,,, 4th time listening to this in a row like :)
it might look like that,,, but im sure they've been working on there interpretations for ages like,,, just like he would have done,,, not everythings as spontanious as you may think like
This Gipsy Soul Music You can dance to this music very good you can thinking about your live and many more things thats great i love the gipsys amazing who dont like this i dont understand this is solo amazing
Nice blues finish to the accordianist's solo. Guitarist on the left of the bass was nice solo also. I liked Christophe's solo n style, being a violinist myself, nicely done! black shirt bassist doesn't seem to appreciate the musicality of the blue shirt guy.
Masters indeed!!! Very enjoyable to watch exceedingly talented musicians at their craft. It was nice to see them enjoy each other as well. thanks a lot for the post.
7:04 is a priceless humour moment of the masters. People should enjoy music more.

@BiondoManouche
Django would be ashamed of this poor exhibition.
It's really a pity to hear this! No feelling at al! No inspirtation.. It's vrituosity without soul (if playing too quickly is virtuosity!)

What happened at 6:42? There's a discontinuity...
duende1969 3 years ago 2
Yeah!
There are three discontinuities in this video at 5:12 6:41 and 6:43
That was because this video was converted three times: one from mpeg to flv, from flv to avi, and finally from avi to flv again.
I have the Full DivX Ripped and when i'll have time, i'll uploadthis (and more) videos,
Greetings!
