The feds had no jurisdiction; Ivy was in a public place, not on federal property; she should have refused to speak with them, asserted her 1st and 5th amendment rights, and demanded that they either produce a warrant for her arrest or leave her alone.

If they continued to harass her she should have called the local cops.

The issue is that she was at her place of business, working, and these thugs come in and strong arm her, embarrassing her in front of her customers, essentially dragging her outside to interrogate her about another individual. She did NOT have to speak with them, whether in a public, private, or any other place. She could have refused to go outside with them or speak to them at all, and that is what she should have done.

But, I'm actually defending the idea of "Natural Rights," which is basically restated in the Declaration of Independence and Virginia's Universal Declaration of Rights. It's also restated in Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" and other writings of the Founders.
