Also, I would suggest you keep pull outs/ zoom ins to a minimum. Instead, take a wide shot, then cut to a tighter shot. Not a lot do it the other way, but you'll see it a lot of this sequence on TV, if you look out. Fantastic seals by the way, even though there was reflection, but you could always say it was the inside of your 'scubacam'!! Keep filming and keep on putting these great videos on Youtube. Cheers, Allan
Thanks for your comments, much appriciated. Yes the point you have made about the horizon is a good one and i was aware that this wasn't horizontal in the edit. Most of the shots were handheld and only really intended for viewing at home. The underwater sequence quite rightly was a give away with the reflections but this idea came later on to try and give the film a bit more drama. Glad you liked the video though and will try to upload more asap. Cheers,Andrew.
Hi there. Great film. Just a few pointers...try to keep your camera level - ie keep the horizon at exactly 90 degrees. Some editing suites do allow you to correct small errors, but its better getting it right first, rather than leaving it for post production. You would also lose quality obviously, because you'd have to crop it a bit. I liked the flower/sea pictures, but watch that horizon!! Continued in next comment...
