@spoiledkid90211 it's really easy to do in windows xp. If you have Windows vista or 7, u kinda have the shaft. thankfully the latest version of fraps includes a function to record multi-track audio in windows vista and 7.

All Video recorders have fps, folder destination quality control and what not. Their basic features that recorders have. The main difference it that for example gamecam, which can also be free, doesnt' work on some games. Never tryed xfire or fraps so I cant say if that the same case for xfire or frpas. which is why I was watching this but..... oh well

I'm using Windows movie maker and got no problems (Using Win7 and downloaded it from Microsofts homepage) What I don't like is the file size after making a HD video. 1min = 1.9gb :S Pinnacle software gives me 1min=400mb.

@julez2k9 Movie Maker is a really basic program. It usually doesn't output to HD. However, you can force it to output to better quality. Before rendering your video, there should be an option to make the file size higher or lower. Set the size higher to get higher quality out of the video. To get true HD quality, you need a professional video editing program like Sony Vegas. With Sony Vegas, you can ouput with your own options even to 1080p.

Hey man. Yeah it turns out it was windows movie maker not xfire. I downloaded sony vegas pro on Download .com it's a free trial by the companey. But I think you can uninstall and reinstall to get the free 30days back. I have some vids on youtube ( on a diff acc) of HD gameplay of a few games.

make sure you're in a game with xfire in game enabled. Then press the 2 keys that are set to record while in game : (Default Scroll Lock + V)

@xoxoaudrey through the interface, you go through the options and you select the "Games" tab. After your games are loaded, go to each one make sure the "Disable Xfire In-Game" box is unchecked. After that go into game and press Scroll Lock + X. Scroll Lock is located at the top of the keyboard in the same row as the F(1,2,3,4...) keys are located. They're also above the "Home" and "Page Up" keys

the recorded video files are uncompressed so you need a program that can compress videos. Sony Vegas gives you a lot more freedom to make the videos any size you want and Windows Movie Maker is just a basic way to compress videos.

NOooooooo. From my own experience if you choose "full size", a minute is closer to about 500 mb. And obviously "half size" is 200 mb/minute. Then again, i haven't recorded anything in a while.
