  • simply amazing

  • wonder how "Scotland the Brave" would sound on the tesla...hmmmm

  • Comment removed

  • it looks as if the tesla coils are having a slap fight

  • Also watch vids on Tesla tech as "Wonderful electric systsem" by HorizonDelta ;-)

  • Nice camera. Too bad jig knows not how to use it.

  • Looks like the evil children of " The Robot " on Lost in Space having a major argument.

  • yeah nikola tesla was a genius he was going to put the coils "BIG ONES" everywhere and give the world free energy to bad that the guy pulled the funding because some guy made a radio transmit overseas with about 17 of nikola's pattents

  • Now add big magnetron as subwoofer :D

  • @Danboy5050 They would just charge it as they do today ;) The'd install a meter on your antenna. And I don't trust this type of transmitting energy. One: it creates ozone. Two: They could disturb the layers of air (I don't know how you call them). Three: They might change life down here in a critical way (relation sun-waves/waves-atoms over there..)

  • @Danboy5050 Exactly. Greed overcame Tesla's humanitarian efforts to better the world. Ya know- he had a solar panel electric powered Model T in the 20's..... Yep.

  • @SciCoSal You're just kidding right?

  • @r3inhout I am a crazy zany guy dude.....BUT WHAT I DON"T EVER JOKE ABOUT- are the works and oppressive treatment of NIKOLA TESLA. Very serious stuff that has been intentionally left out of our histlry books......howevr it all can be looked up and confirmed.

  • @SciCoSal No, Sci. Power usage could be metered and billed.

Tesla's idea would be terribly inefficient and cause other problems all over the place.

  • @Danboy5050 One big ass grounding rod 1000 feet into the ground.......one big ass antenna 1000 feet in the air......longitudinal hertzian wave forms......pumped through the ionisphere way up high...... to a recieving antenna near you...check out wardenclyff tower......his research center and prototype built in like 1918.

There wouldnt be an oil spill right now if teslas energy systems were in place thats for sure.......DannyBoy!

  • lol get some dnb with that

  • Lord Raiden in concert !

  • sounds like the fattest man in the world farting dinner

  • AHAHAH YOUTUBE COMMENT FIGHT

  • ACTUALLY- JP Morgan pulled the funding on Tesla's research when he found out he wanted to transmit free energy to the world, AND he also could pull " energies"out of the air...no matter what though....it was and still is the corporate greed that killed most of his brilliant works.

  • I was there for this. Coolest display I've ever seen here at UoI.

  • tesla invented a way to harness electricity out of thin air, but westinghouse didnt beleive it would make money so he didnt fund it

  • No he didnt

  • oh yes he did

  • No, It was J.P Morgan, not westinghouse who pulled the funding. Get your facts straight.

  • Tesla did the research, Westinghouse promoted his inventions and ideas especially when it came the AC/DC wars between Edison, and that JP Morgan fuck paid for all of it, as you know smartass tesla worked on a shit load of inventions and one was the idea of transferring electricity wirelessly which was what i meant (harness, transfer, same shit), And stop trying to impress everyone please with how much you suck the guys dick anyways, eat shit posen123

  • Why the anger? There are some great documentaries on tesla availilable on torrents, The modern marvels tesla episode is also worth a watch.

  • And it was a way to transmitt energy through air, not harness it.

  • Guys, no offense but you're some crazy nerds :p.

  • With the Morgan/Westinghouse controverse I mean.

  • Thank you! I agree

  • @88jon88

    nerds are the best lmfao

they make the best kind of music lmfao

  • Happy Birthday Nikola. The world would not have been the same without you.

  • Kraftwerk guys would probably love this

  • Hi.

Could you make a version of the song, in a better quality, and post it on youtube? If you do so, plz tell me :D

  • Tesla coils have a lot of distortion and probably couldnt make it a whole lot better.

Thats why Tesla coil amp work best for heavy metal...

perhaps another invention he made he doesnt get credit for as well ;p

  • I know it wouldn't make much of a light show but, if those coils weren't arcing, they'd probably sound allot better. There is a trick you could use to get allot of light out. Use a large acrylic, plexy or polycarbonate drum with a good vacuum filled with argon and neon. Connect the bottom of the chamber to the metal spike on top of the coil to distribute the power. 1 foot in diameter & 1.5 feet long should be quite a bit brighter, more dazzling, & sound better.

  • 0.1 mbar should be the pressure of the gas inside the vacuum chamber. It's like a giant neon bulb or a plasma globe. I've had allot less power seem allot louder. Maybe, not louder than your tesla coil but, many other things. It quickly forms a plasma.

  • If you place a large neodymium ring magnet on the toroid, right around the sharp point, you'll fix the sound quality. One should have the north pole up, and the other the south.

  • As long as it doesn't heat up.

  • this stuff could sell like mad. if it were on cd

  • wow

  • Is there any way to download a high quality version of the audio recording?

  • fucking creepy... it´s gives me the feeling that someday these things are getting their own will and will destroy all people :S WAAAAAAAH.....

  • they do, it's in the sky and it's called lightning

    don't thank me

  • @Erwinismyname It's only wire wrapped around a coil.

  • @Erwinismyname Tell me why you do not get that feeling when you see a lightbulb flashing or a transformator?

  • @Erwinismyname dude, you proper need to stop smoking pot or watching 90's films :L

  • Why is it that there are so many AM radio stations, and yet, even at a University, they don't know to use Trasmitter tubes and physics first, then play the music. Bottom line, a good sounding Triple A Acoustic Tesla Coil would take up at least band. The point of using a spark gap over impedance matching, what's wrong these people?

  • Impedance matching doesn't look as cool.

  • It would look about the same or better and sound allot better

  • No he is right, the sparks do not look as good. But it sounds better, yes...

  • Umm, these are DRSSTC, and they have no spark gap, they use an IGBT h-bridge to drive the tank circuit, and modulate the 200kHz output to an audible frequency, the whole point is it sounds and looks cool, we don't care about sound quality (which is actually much better than you can tell from the recording.)

  • Glad I was able to make it out there and see it in person. Nice work!

  • Awesome!
